Do you mean you would have bound the other carpet edges like the mats or gone another way?....

My new 1976 280z project
Mine had been sitting for 20 years. The gas gauge read empty and the car wouldn't start, so I oiled the cylinders, added a gallon of gas and turned it over..... Still no start and no noise from the pump. Gave the pump a couple gentle whacks and then it ran! .... and on top of that, it ran smooth....! With THIS in the full tank! The gauge was corroded stuck in the empty position!

1976 280Z Restoration Project
Finished wiping down the car; cleaning the shop up. I plan on spraying the sealer coat this week and prepping a spare fibreglas fender to use as a test mule for the body colour. I plan on getting at least four shades of green mixed up in the water based paint to test spray sections of the fender. That way I can get a good idea of what the car will look like when I'm done in different lighting etc. Hope to be able to get that done in the next few weeks. Summer is such a busy time....

This is an early 76 door jamb style. Yours is either a late 76 or 77

My new 1976 280z project
The 280Z model changed significantly after 8/76 production. Mine is a 9/75 production with full size spare and unicorn door cards.

1976 280Z Restoration Project
Seam sealing is complete. Next up is another complete wipe down and clean of the car before spraying the sealing coat on the bottom of the car , inside of the car and engine bay area. Still feels like a lot of work with little to show for it. But yes, I know it will all be worth it later!

1978 280z Restored Auto $8500
That's what kills us guys restoring up here! The shipping cost plus exchange on all the parts we need! It's way cheaper to buy one like yours than to build one of our own. If this would have been an option (buying your car) instead of restoring the basket case I bought, no contest. I'm lucky you're not close because it would be a seriously difficult time deciding whether to finish this car or buy yours. I hope it goes to a good home.

280Z price check
That 2+2 looks like a better car overall. Some tasteful mods and either a restored or pristine dash. If you can live with the 2+2 is the question....

280Z price check
A good price for a driver. Looks clean. Not like there are many choices up here for clean Z's so I would say $11,000 is a good price. Not great. $13,500 is a high price for unrestored. I'm into mine for about $13,000 at this point and it's still on a rotisserie....
