  1. Thanks for the invite! Canada is on my bucket list. Well I started back in September '13. So about a year and a half. I couldn't tell you the amount of hours put into it, but I will say there was many long weekends involved and a few hours a night. I would guess roughly 10 - 20 hours a week.
  2. Wow that looks better than what I had to start with!
  3. Thank you! And welcome to the forum!
  4. A little progress today. I received my custom plug wires, heat shield, manifold stud kit, and new valve cover bolts from Datsun Spirit today. I also installed my new 3 row aluminum radiator. I also hooked up my battery for the first time in over a year. No blown fuses or fires, so thats a good sign. No dash lights though...hmmm.
  5. I got them here for my 280. the 3012 and 3013. I had to wait awhile for the rears that were on back order. Took about 3 months. http://thmotorsports.com/tokico/tokico-shocks-hp-series/hz3012/i-526535.aspx
  6. Glad I could help. But yours look nicer than mine, now im going to have to take mine back out and repaint them Thank you sir.
  7. It looks like the brackets that go from the center of the dash to the sides of the tranny tunnel.
  8. This helps guys. Thanks.
  9. Wow I didnt realize these cars were so high tech!
  10. Thanks! Just what I needed.
  11. Heres what I used.. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Avery-Conform-Chrome-Car-Wrap-Film-Sheet-Decal-1ft-x-4ft-4-sq-ft-/110881493651?hash=item19d10d5293
  12. Thanks Blue! Well I purchased an electric low pressure fuel pump that I was going to replace the stocker with. This wont work with the factory wiring harness near the fuel tank?
  13. Ok so i'm removing my harness completely. Can I just remove the ECU as well? I noticed theres a couple relays or resistors under the dash that its connected to. I can remove these too? Thanks.
  14. Yeah its a hobby knife with snap off blades. I think in 77 they got rid of the chrome strip.
  15. I "re-chromed" my door panel strips today. I bought some chrome vinyl wrap off Ebay and cut some strips and applied it with a heat gun. It turned out really nice. Heres what they looked like before, typical chrome peeled off exposing blue plastic. Applying the chrome vinyl. Heated it up with a heat gun, tucked the edges with a bondo squeegee, then trimmed off the excess. Much better. Did the same with my rear dogleg panels.
  16. I believe I do, not sure if it worked. Honestly I dont even know what it does. But I was planning on selling the whole EFI system as a whole.
  17. Thats good advice. Thanks. Very true! Thanks Will do, it was a tough decision. Honestly I probably would've been happy either way but I'm more of an old school kinda guy and just love the look and sound of triple carbs on a L6!
  18. I sanded down the letters on my red valve cover. Used 100 grit then 320 then some scotchbrite pads to shine them up. I think it looks pretty good. I also just ordered new valve cover bolts, spark plug wires, and a heat shield from Datsun Spirit.
  19. What filter do you recommend during break in?
