That's what I think of it to really.. just post a link, you will go to the video anyhow.. and it isn't taking up half the page..
  4. You could also use this for the stock cast iron " look " Motip Heat Resistant Lacquer Anthracite 400 ml 04037 8711347040377
  5. @black gold man: and if it's really up to your door when you get out.. you can Always use this bad boy

Updates from the " rust " repair .. this came to light when the body shop started cutting things open.. everything is being replaced currently for solid metal. I recently ordered the rear inner fenders, cause as you can see on the pictures those are pretty crispy. The rear lower outer fenders are being replaced also.
  8. Very cool you restored that thing Chris, we recently did a similair one also with belt drive, it's from the 60's with manual readings, English brand if I am not mistaken. It's in our shop here. Don't want the new..those old machines are build to last !
  9. I believe the hubs and calipers are not painted or coated with anything from the factory, because it's cast iron, I think originally it just has that greyish look to it.. like this
  10. The hubs also not.
  11. Thanks for all te imput guys.. I bought a set from black gold man here. Let's see what it does
  12. The problem with most of these 2nd hand mag wheels, is that either the hole/ring in the wheel is worn out, or the lug nuts are not the correct one, and then you can never get them centered right on the car.. I couldn't get the ones that where on my 240z right.. I brought all the 4 wheels away to a specialist for repair, I even drilled them conical with conical lugnuts, but stil it didn't help.. Then I put 280zx wheels with oem nissan lug nuts, and it was okay , but I think the 14 inch mags just look better on the 240Z.. those 280zx wheels are more " 80's "
  13. That's a pretty hefty price, and the ET seems 0, My current 280ZX wheels have ET10. What's the stock ET for a 240z ?
  14. So where did the Z they used in the show end up now ?
  15. It seems when I bought the car here in the Netherlands from stolze the wheels where still on the car.. ( see picture ). It must have been with him where it went wrong.. I remember when buying my car those wheels where not on it ! I asked for them, because I saw them on this picture, but I didn't notice, they where not the same onces he put back on the car..
  16. ^ a picture of my car from the first owner somewhere mid 70''s and there you can see the wheels to..
  17. Hehe, yes we could. I believe the Original one says something like " us indy mag " on the rear stamped to it
  18. It's not my car haha, Just an example for the mag wheels.. It's currently for sale on Ebay. The reason I want to stick with 14 inch is because with 15, I can't go much " balloon " tire, without the tire rubbing the fender.. Oldskool was... 14 But where these mag wheels back in the day a dealer option, anybody knows of ? Or just populair aftermarket wheels everybody used back in the day ? I see them on old Mustangs to etc..
  19. I have only 1 Original one on my car, the rest are aftermarket. Now I have 280ZX wheels, but I would prefer going back to these old school 14 inch mag wheels with fat tires, looks better on a classic imo. If anybody has or knows where I can find a good set with the correct lug nuts and washers for the 240Z let me know ? I'm posting this question here on the club, because I can't seem to find anything on the internet. I see them on many old Z's that need to be restored. Where these some kind of dealer option wheels ? This is the one I mean:
