  1. Corvair That would be a 1970 Nissan Skyline GT-R (not mine of course). This is my dream sports car to own of all time.
  2. Go ahead and cringe, she will be pretty and very functional afterwards :classic:
  3. Well after scrapping the RB idea as it would have killed my budget and the Trust twin turbo kit not fitting as it's made for a RHD (It's for sale now check classifieds), I'm back to using the parts and motor that I have had on hand for the last 5 years. Here is what I'm having the machine shop do: Block • Clean/Inspect • Bore/ Hone “as needed” • Remove phillips screws for block vent screen • R&R Freeze Plugs • Magnaflux Main Bearing Bolts 14 • Clean Front Cover and Oil Filter Mounting Plate • Remove Flywheel Keys • Clean Oil Pan Crank • Clean Polish/Balance • Pull Torque Adapter Plate • Remove Crank Bolt • Remove torque plate adapter on tail of crank • Remove Pilot Shaft Bushing Rods • Race Prep “balance, magnaflux, peened, polished Pistons Forged Wisco • Balance Head • Clean/ Inspect • Return for Porting by owner (I may consider Sun Belt for the porting) • Valve Job • Remove Locating Dowel Induction • Custom Intake Manifold • RC 550cc Injectors • JSK Fuel Rail • Custom Exhaust Manifold • Precision GT Turbo • Custom 3 Core Intercooler Engine Management • TEC 3 or SDS Motor Accessories • Wisco Forged Pistons • NISMO Adjustable Cam Sprocket • NISMO Crank Dampner • Schneider Cam Lift(In/Ex): .460/.460. Duration(In/Ex): 270/260 • Manley Valves • Clevite Bearing • ARP Head/Rod Bolts • HKS 2mm Head Gasket Well this is what I have so far to get me started. My goal is for 400RWHP. Fabrication will be done by Tempest Racing http://tempestracing.com in Waldorf MD. Questions, comments feel free to fire away. I will be ordering all the rebuild parts this week from MSA i.e. gasket set, timing chain kit, cam, ARP fasteners to name a few... I'm so stoked to get this started FINALLY!!! I will get pics of the motor when I dropped it off at the machine shop uploaded tonight..

No rubbing. even under full compression. They are zero offset and tires are 225-50 as well.. The 245-45-16 on 16x8 zero offset Epsilons did rub just a touch only on full compression but nothing like the 14x7 slots w/ 215/60's that started cutting a groove in the tire.

__________________________________________ These new beauties are 16x7 16x8 Epsilons and new Potenza RE750 rubber 225-50/245-45 from daddz. Well they fit my Z (coil overs). Next step is to see if they fit his 280Z with the stock spring perch. Any thoughts? __________________________________________ They even fit his 1972 Celica, thats a 245-45 from a 185-80-13. One heck of an upgrade that was short lived.

Here are some updated pics taken with a digital camera of the black wheels
  7. Are you refering to Datsun Dynamics in Vienna VA? If so.. Here is a picture of daddz and I when we picked up a 280Z that he bought from them. Does this look familar: Datsun Dynamics 1202 Downey Drive Vienna, Virginia 22182 703-759-4610

No I don't believe those are it. The PO had them painted and when we cleaned them the only thing we seen was the size and Made in Mexico. I'm in contact asking the PO what "brand" of wheels they are.

My poor Verizon camera phone doesn't have a flash. As soon as I get daddz digital camera back or have him come over and take some close up pics I will.

Dang it... Here are some pics from the '81 ZX that I borrowed them from, these are a little better. To bad my digital camera took a crap and daddz has his digital camera back that I normally "borrow" from him.

I bought one in Japan before I left back in 1998. Let me dig it up and I'll give you the part number. My Japanese friends that I talked to there said the same thing thats how they build there strokers. However, the L engine builders I talked to in the states said I was crazy and that wouldn't work. Well I'm glad I still have it.

The black wheels are 16" and the slots are 14", this is why I put the text above the last picture to describe what it looked like before hand.

daddz had these on his '81 ZX. They are 16x7 unknown brand stamped made in Mexico, with 225/50/16 Michelin Pilot. I like the way they look, now I need to get my hands on a set of 16x7 RS-8 black or gunmetal with a polished lip. Anyone have any leads?? Camera Phone Pics, Sorry. A little upgrade from these 14x7 slots with 215/60/14
