No, no it spins constantly it's just the clutch engages/disengages I guess and it spins really fast and gets louder. It quits the hard spin when I bring the rpm down to idle. Then off and on I assume while I'm dtiving.

I can crank mine and run it up to 2,000 RPM and within 30 maybe 60 seconds the fan comes to life. Sounds like an airplane under the hood. That's in a 60 F garage. I get it cranked and then flood the valve train with oil for that first minute, 1,500 to 2,000. The choke runs it to about 1,500 anyway so I add a little pedal. (I have neighbors)

Please consider sticking a folded piece of cardboard in the spinng fan. You need those fingers to type helpful replies on here.

Not sure if you've ridden dirt bikes in the past but that's my way to compare. A 2 cycle would be the aluminum flywheel and a 4 stroke would be OEM flyweel. I love the quick rev of the lightened flywheel. Had one on my boat too and it was great.

That's like a pic of Bigfoot, I don't exist except in the wild. We also have half of riffraff, I guess riff, in that photo. @gwri8 what a fun day! @Mark Maras and his wife were my instant family as soon as they walked up to my never been seen country arse in the airport's luggage carousel and said "Cliff?".
  7. Mine was painted black with the dealer installed spoilers. I went back to grey. There's still black overspray under the tag though.
  8. I wonder what would happen if I watched your video? Couldn't be any worse than Facebook's Marketplace. I'm looking for a used leaf blower, search term I used was "backpack blower". It's like "best head" .
  9. Love Mel Brooks! I watched Space Balls just the other night. Mr Brook's played President Skroob which is a backwards play on Brooks spelling. I've watched that several times and just realized this.
  10. I'll get a picture of my ceramic coated ones maybe tomorrow night if it doesn't rain here. I'm going to get both cars out, weather permitting. New oil and valves adjusted. Now to wear the brake pads down and heat the tires up. Big plans for Saturday, if no rain comes around.
  11. Holy crap, that's amazing! No photo tricks, photoshop or anything? Just hot as hell and at night? Wow.
  12. I believe his name's Abby something or another?
  13. I'm shifting gears here gentlemen. Y'all are making me sleepy. 😑

I'm in a group photo with him in Memphis. 😎 Nanny nanny boo boo!
  15. Nice car! Can TechZ has the best color match with matte clear coat on top. I redid mine after seeing his.
  16. I found something similar to what my uncle used off his rear truck hub. Cannot believe I found this. This is 70s/80s redneck engineering. His name was "Uncle Luther". Miss him too.
  17. My Dad made a wood splitter using a floor jack and a thick low tree limb.

Go ahead and replace it I say. The Exedy is a great choice. I have one in both my Zs. https://www.amazon.com/EXEDY-06009-OEM-Replacement-Clutch/dp/B001B5D7TE
  19. You have that good "figuring out sense" that's so prevalent on classiczcars.com. I've been blessed with it also but once I got involved with this forum I realized I'm barely touched with it.
  20. Oops! Looks like a d608-56a, hard to see but there is a d609-56a in here. Sorry guys, carry on while I wake up. I have know idea what this thread's about but I do have that Excel spread sheet @Walter Moore put together and it has the d611-54.
  21. If they're from ztherapy there most likely SMs unless you specified different. Post #11 has some info. The fat end has a stamp number if I remember right. So you'd have to pull them to see. https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/59153-modified-su-carb-needles-for-l28/#comment-537325

Here's a screen grab from the "efi and fuel" of the link I posted last. It's under the 2nd "fuel pump" heading. Thank you and I hope you had a nice Easter Sunday too.
  23. The races! Thats what have to be driven down and seated. Not the bearings. Sorry.
  24. I'm sorry. I can't really say from the video. That aren't too expensive if I remember right so I suggest new, since your there. I remember using the old ones to drive in the new ones, I think. It's been some years ago. Maybe a big socket to get the old ones out?
