  1. I did not know we could do member polls. Maybe I shouldn't have known. Let the polling begin!

I did exactly what Zed Head did on my O'Reilly radiator too but I didn't drill a hole for draining. I have to pull the lower hose off to get the fluid out. I also used Teflon tape as Heyitsrama suggest.

13 people arrested for attempted kidnapping of gov. Whitmer. Future vp Harris is next, communist witch he says to the Proud Boys that can afford a tv. If they kidnap pumpkin head it'd be like that cheetos commercial to catch the kidnappers. "When did we get a caaat?" Get it? The orange makeup he wears to cover covid-19 damage to his mind and body.
  4. That's a fan belt pulley base like ours that go over the water pump. Good for you Zed Head! The www.com is your bitch.

Read over this, great pictures to look at too. You'll get the jest of it but 240s have a lot of evap hoses you must deal with. And if you can't/won't read it use a clear storage tub from Walmart to drain the tank. They have their Christmas stuff out now so you could get one for cheap. https://www.atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/fuel/gastank/index.htm
  6. Well yeah! I snipped it from your thread in 2013. You are the man Chas! So helpful to everyone. And to the OP there's what I call a top hat seal in there too. Be very careful those are nla. Use good thick teflon tape on everything and you'll be good to go.
  7. Nope. That cog is the same height as the fill plug so it shouldn't unless it's overfilled. When you get it fixed you can do what most of us have done. Drive it and when you park for the night put a newspaper under there then check it the next morning. Good luck.

  9. I'm waiting for the "just right" to hit and go mow my lawn so here's a joke I heard today for the first time. Sorry if it's an oldie but I'm way down South. Things take longer to get here. (there's a joke right there) Q: What Is The Speed Limit Of Sex? A: 68, At 69 You Have To Turn Around!

A virus? Huh... Spreading like herpes at a Whore House, see that, WH.
  11. Yes there's two, the one in my pics and an o-ring. Speedo pinion seal 32709-14600 Speedo pinion o-ring 32710-14600
  12. Here's that speedo washer i bought from local Nissan. P/N #32709-14600. They don't stock them but can get it overnight. It goes down in here. Not sure if @EuroDat posted these numbers yet but I found them on one of his old post.

You need to try a small gas jug up front straight into the pump. That bypasses the tank.

Here's something about the bcdd that might be useful.

There's a hole you have to fill with JB Weld when you block of the BCDD I'm pretty sure. Those things don't go bad, they just need fine tuning. 3 or 4 laps around the block and I had mine dialed in. Here's some info. https://www.google.com/search?client=ms-android-americamovil-us-revc&source=android-home&source=hp&ei=SV1-X-6qGoiQ5wKqg7vYBQ&q=bcdd+block+off+classiczcars.com+&oq=bcdd+block+off+classiczcars.com+&gs_lcp=ChFtb2JpbGUtZ3dzLXdpei1ocBADOggIKRAWEAoQHjoCCCk6BQgpELEDOgcIKRDJAxBDOgUIKRDJAzoFCCkQoAE6BQgpEM0COgQIKRBDOgsILhCxAxCDARCTAjoFCAAQsQM6CAgAELEDEIMBOgIIADoICAAQsQMQyQM6BQgAEMkDOgQIABAKOgcIABDJAxANOgQIABANOgUIIRCgAToFCAAQzQI6BQghEKsCUKsXWKBsYJN5aABwAHgAgAHEAYgB2RSSAQQwLjE5mAEAoAEBsAEP&sclient=mobile-gws-wiz-hp

My 280 needed a resonator. Installed by a local muffler shop for maybe $50. 240 screams bloody murder like a crotch rocket motorcycle. No resonator needed on the 2.4 for me.

As much as I like a pat on the head like a dog this is mr @S30Driver catch. Pat on the head. I gave one of those to someone on here a few months ago the "pay it foward" thing we do but I realize now he flipped that car. Has not been back on the forum since he got what he needed. I got played.

I bought the MSA kit, cylinder head to rear bumper. It's $590 but we get 10% off with your czcc member number. I really like it too. Scroll down after the header and see the premium 2.5 exhaust. If you call them sometimes you get even better price or they'll tell you when it's gonna be on sale. https://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/classic19d/15-6012CH

He's creating "jobs"? I say more work for naught.
  20. My vin#69,??? has horizontal.
  21. Why will you remove the pump? I don't think I had to. I did like you but my Dewalt was on #2 and I had oil everywhere from my oiler cam. This is on low speed setting.
  22. My youth came back in a bad way. RIP Eddie Van Halen.
  23. Looks pristine to my eyes, just like my '72 when I first bought it. A little dark from being parked for 10 years.

I agree with that. Probably the last "good guys" out of state business I'll ever use. I called with a question some years ago and they gave me Mr. Bruce Palmer's personal cell phone number. He answered on the 3rd ring, answered my question/problem and over-nighted new valves at his expense. A+ Better Business Bureau.
  25. He bought it in "72 but it has the vertical rear defrost lines? Maybe an earlier car. Weird choice of pictures too, IMHO. Still worth a look for someone in that area.
