Classic! He'll be on the news channels one day, "guess who this frowning little man is today"? Governor Diseazd III.

Merry Christmas all
Merry Christmas everyone. I stay within 2 square miles of my house and am also very thankful for this forum and the nicest members to keep me company. Helps me stay in line too and that's a handful.

You've not eaten peanuts while drinking beer? I'll let you in on another little secret, hot wings and beer. Enough beer and I'd start in on a 2x4. Back to music, sorry for the off ramp.

How to find original paint color for 240z
The hatch hinges would be a good spot to look I think.

I agree with that 100%. Those news anchors are acting harder than movie stars. I like reading myself, too.

78 280z Exhaust rattle
Yeah, I guess he did. I sat in the waiting area. It was the MSA kit I installed myself and the hangers are half rubber and half metal. It was the one under the driver's seat and the very end where it comes out the cut out of the painted rear. That hole is so much smaller than the 2.5" system I have it needed to be solid, unmovable. Good luck with yours. So much smaller for the OE pipe I meant to say.

78 280z Exhaust rattle
Mine had the same. Took it to an exhaust shop, he made a couple of spot welds for $25 and no more clatter.

When I was mowing apartment complexes I got hit quite often by the ones that live in the ground. Yellow jackets I believe? I've thrown weedeaters, blowers and jumped off mowers running and screaming. The Tennant's got a kick out of me, no extra charge. Awe the good old days. Thank goodness I made a few good decisions in my life.

I've never been stung by a hornet but have always heard it's like small caliber gunshot. When I was a kid one of my friends had one form in a shrub outside his bedroom window. His Dad got drunk and decided to plug the hole with a wine cork. He had to be taken to the ER from so many bites. They follow the attack pheromone.

Alternator or battery?
I dove it for about an hour today. 62 degrees and sunny down here. Had some strain on start up when I put fuel in. I'm going to swap the battery out of my 280 over in the next day or two. It's newish, not quite a year old. I have a reman alternator that tested good when I bought it. Thats option #2, the more time consuming. No matter the charging problem the car ran top notch after sitting for a few months. A lot more going on in MY head the past couple of months, cars on the back burner until very recently.
