Hi. Sorry for the time it has taken. My youngest daughter broke her right leg on ski holiday so everything else has been put in slowmotion mode. But now shes up walking again. I will print the transparant plastic for the brake light next week (i found the right color i think) if i can get some free time in the machine. Hope to have some plates ready in a couple of weeks.

Matt: I have made 70 plates, 30 Euro and 40 Jdm. Im going to sell these when they are ready. I have 1 small problem with testing. Its winter here and my car is in storage so i cant test it for real. I have a guy in France how is interested in these and i will send a plate to him so he can test it. Still have to solve the transperent plastic (brake light etc) and the pin for the needle to rest on. And some painting in holes. So there are some work left but it looks like its going to be a very good alternative to the paper/stickers. I dont think you could make a mph gauge read km. You need to change the internal with a kph speedo. Correct me if im wrong. I put you on the list./Andreas

Time for update. This was not as simple as i thought but it came out great. Still some small things to work out but here are some pics:Euro copy. Jdm copy. Real Jdm plate.
  10. Thanks Michael. Hold on to that car as long as you can.
  11. Great looking car Michael. I have always wanted a green z but ended up with a silver car, it has the same wheels as you. Do you know what brand they are?

Hi I ended up buying the jdm km/h speedoplate. I have desided that i should make some replicas of my speedoplate. Would you think there be some interest of these in the Us aswell? They will be made in plastic (same plastic as a well known sportscar from Germany uses in the interior). I have made a scan of the plate and some photoshopwork ( still some work left ). Im going to make 2 kind of plates, Jdm (yellow/red markings)and Euro (all black). What would you guys think would be most wanted? Here are some pics of original Jdm s30 speedoplate and first print on paper with jdm/euro plate./Andreas
  16. Replaced my window frames (the old once had some in my opinion ugly arse mirrors attached to them) so i can mount my new fender mirrors. I also throw the silencer in the middle away for some more sound. Came out ok.

Blue: I use that metric overlay right now and it made me pass registration when the car came from the Us. So send my regards to your friend next time you see him. I have now located three km/h speedos and one plate. One from a 280z fairlady from Japan. In the USA. Price 220$. One from a 240z in Holland. Price 200€. And waiting for pics and price on the third one and on the plate alone. The last guy is from Italy and he also had alot of other rare parts like fairlady grille, comp steering wheel, headlight buckets and so on. I asked him to send some pics of what he got. So im quite exited : )

Lazeum: Ofcourse you could just switch the plastic front with the numbers. Thats what im going to do if i find just that pice. And i probobly have found it here in Europe. Waiting for pics.

Haha, just for looks. Speedlimits are almost the same as yours 120km/h on the highway.
  23. moelk posted a post in a topic in Interior
Yes i looked at that one. But i want the one that goes to 240km/h and the red mark starts at 190km/h. Found this one, owner says it from an 280z fairlady from japan. Anyone know if it will fit a 240z -73? Thinking about the electric. Assume they are the same size? And in worst case i guess could just swap templets.

This was the last thing a could find. Its from his build thread on Zatzy.com. Last post a guy says: Sadly i think he sold the car to someone in Grums (city/village in Sweden) that will take it back to original.

Yes, i know whithead performance has the 260 model in stock. I prefer to have the one for the 240. But as you say i could email them and ask if there are something on its way in. Thanks for helping.
