  1. Damn, why do the pics rotate sometimes?
  2. Took the engine (N42/N42)and trans out today. Engine will be bored 2.9 with flattops/ stage 3 cam/ ported head etc. 180-190 at the wheels would make me happy. It will sadly not be done this year.
  3. Got my "new" 280zx today. Realy bad shape on this cars body but good engine/trans/diff. Car will meet the crucher when i have pulled the good stuff out. Took the car off the trailer, then i realised that i had an hour left before i had to leave the garage so i jacked the car up and pulled the diff out.

Have no pics, sorry. If i start and make it fit around the left vent and left corner, then the speedo and tach are way off to begin with. It also seems to sit to far out from the amp/fuel/clock gauges. Dont think its possible to make it fit with a heatgun but maybe i give it a try. But afterall i think i just take that dashboard out and repair it the propper way during the winter.

I bought a full dash cap for my 240z -73 a year ago from Msa. Yesterday i finaly decided that i should put it in the car. It doesnt line up at all, it cant be this bad i think something must be wrong. The thing is that msa doesnt reply to my email ( have sent 4 without respons). The dash cap has a number 300 on a sticker attached to it. Does anybody know if that make it the right one for a 73?

Just wanted to say that there are only around 10 jdm Speedoplates left if anyone is interested.
  10. Thanks. Funny you say that, my next will be blue!
  11. Got an hour of free time so i went for a drive and took some pics.
  12. Went to a car meet today. A guy in my age (34) started to ask me alot of questions about my 240z and then invites me to look at his car, a Ford GT he say. And Holy crap he realy got one. I had to put my arse in the drivers seat. The noise when you hit the throttle is the most angry engine/exhaust sound iv ever heard. Supercharged 950hp/1050nm. Would look great in my garage next to the Z
  13. Bought an 2 owner 280zx today. Will pick it up in about 1-2 weeks. Good =motor/trans/diff. Bad=about everything else : ) Will build that motor (aming for 190-200 hp)and drop it in my 240z.
  14. Is the speedo showing about 10mph low at all speeds? If so, you could just calibrate the needle in the speedometer.
  15. Went to my first car meet with the 240z. As expected it was the only 240z (they are realy rare here).
  16. Checked and tighten the bolts after changing the diff a couple weeks ago. Everything looked good. Also took the rear bumper of and straighten the brackets (po got hit very light in passanger side before i bought the car). Worked out well, bumper sits straight and you cant realy notice that its been hit.

That is one nice looking car you have!
  18. I would be interested in buying your Amp and Temp gauge if you would like to sell them?
  19. Took a 170 km tripp to a friend and changed my noisy r200 diff to a good r200 he had. Was a good quiet 170 km tripp back home.
  20. Ok thanks. Guess it works that way.
  21. Went with the same wheels as you!
  22. Hi I installed Tokicos 5way illumina on my 240z. Everything works well but when you adjust the settings 1-5 i can turn the screw for the settings round and round, is that normal. I thought it should stop at 1 and stop at 5?
  23. Fender mirrors installed today. Not fun at all to drill the big holes in the fenders.
  24. Pulled my tach for some cleaning and my speedo to replace the mph plate for an km/h (good way to practice on your cursing). Then i put my new wheels on. Also i had the tokico illumina and springs installed during the winter.
