Shift knob
I wonder if anyone has a shift knob missing its plastic top I could acquire. I would like to put a 5 speed plastic insert in it. I have a 5 speed tranny in my car but a 4 speed knob that is like new and I don't want to experiment on it. Casey

Spraying of all the hollow parts against rust?
Just a quick example of an untreated 10year old Chevy pickup in my brothers shop. This is the frame and what's left of the rocker panel. Posting this to show what we deal with in the great white north:cry: Also where a vehicle spends its life is important info if you want to purchase. The box on this truck was so rusty they are replacing it with a better one from the wreckers. The oil treatments we use and lots of washing prevent a lot of this type of rust damage. Casey

Spraying of all the hollow parts against rust?
Don't worry it is high and dry till spring in my little shop. To keep a vehicle for a long period of time takes a lot of extra maintenance in the winter.

Spraying of all the hollow parts against rust?
This is a pic of my daily driver. It was clean in the morning. One day's worth of pure salt build up. Oil treatments are an industry here and make a huge difference in a vehicle's condition. My Honda Pilot gets treated regularly and is like new after 8 salty winters.

Spraying of all the hollow parts against rust?
In Canada we use products like RustCheck and Crown oil spray. Soak everything on a regular basis. Once or twice a year. These products creep and penetrate. If a product forms a coating you can lock rust under it. My Dutch Canadian 2 cents Casey

240z rebuild / restoration right down to the shell
Chris You would never have known the trouble you would find when you were parked next to me in August. A job like that you work one step at a time. Ted must be thinking "silly humans":) Casey

240z still not starting
This sounds like what happened to me. My brother in law was an apprentice at a Datsun shop in the 70's. My 240 wouldn't start after I flooded it trying to start it with a bad new rotor. With good parts and spark the motor would fire intermittantly but not start. Cleaned the plugs and they looked great but still it would not run. My brother in law told me to put fresh plugs in it (NGK). I installed the plugs and it fired up immediately. He told me this was common back when he worked on these cars every day. My 2 cents for what it is worth. Casey

Heard about this upgrade to the choke control on this site. Got on EBAY bought the adapter plate and installed it. Works great. It is rock solid. This allows you to remove the consul without screwing with the choke control as well. While I was there:) I got the choke warning light and the re defogger repaired as well. Winter may suck but it gives you time to work on things. Casey

Front windshield SS trim install-my success
Both windows and trim. They slid the SS trim in before installing the glass. they were down the road in about an hour and a half. It would normally be about $250 but they do a lot of work for my brother in his body shop and cash talks:) Casey
