@jeongjihye Please tell me about the garden. Reset.
  2. If it's possible, try contacting the people who placed these six figure bids and ask them? I can understand the emotions behind an auction, but there's got to be good reasons why these cars are selling in the high digits. In my opinion, this kind of money is only spent by people with the cash to do it. Unless they have inherited the money, they are likely very smart with their life choices and will have a valid reason to throw six figures at such a car. It typically won't be a whim and they will not do it unless there's some kind of investment value. BTW, "value" is a subjective term and doesn't always equal money. ;)

Sold for around $40k... good for the buyer but the seller was probably disappointed in the price. @jeongjihye did you buy it?

Nice cars! Do you know what kind of Datsun Z you are looking for? There are many resources to pick up a good one such as BringaTrailer.com, our for-sale forum, etc.. I've seen prices around $5-10k for a fixer upper up to over $100k for a fully restored original. Resto-mod versions typically $35-60k. All USD.
  9. Wow, very nice production and a small necessary detail for proper restorations. Thank you !

Hi @jeongjihye , yes there are plenty of us here. Just checking to see if you are really interested in Datsun cars because it's the primary purpose of this car club. Looking at your profile, it looks like you are a Porsche driver?
  11. Sounds like a perfect opportunity to create a few knowledge-base articles. ;)
  12. Ah, that would be my bad... The "Resources" menu button was combined with Community.. I just fixed it. Sorry for the confusion. Mike

If you replace with Dynamat make sure you fix the rusty areas first.
  14. @72 Datsun 240z If you go with Motorsport Auto, make sure to give them a call and ask for our club discount. You'll get some percentage off your purchase. Apologies I don't know how much the discount is right now... Your member number is 45164

Thanks guys. I really don't want to get rid of her but life is getting expensive. I have a kiddo who will be going to college in 3 years and I'm in a house with a very small garage. One day I'll have a big garage or shop again and I'm sure that's the point I'll regret letting her go.

    Nice new ride!
  17. No problem, it looks like I was duped by the bot post. You apparently had resolved this a year ago... lol
  18. Oh, lol I just noticed this was from a year ago as well. Yeah, bots typically dig up old stuff and reply with a general unrelated message. Thanks, I'll take care of it. Mike
  19. Our club has a copyright release for the Nissan materials. For the others, you would have to buy the hard copies and digitize them yourself, for your own use. I don't want to get into copyright issues here on our club because I don't want to mess with someone else's investment. It take a lot of time to create and publish a book.
  20. Awesome photos! Congrats on keeping the old Z and the new addition of the current model... these look so sweet together!

Interesting, how much is the installation of this product? I might be interested.

Yeah this would be awesome. You can probably start with 3D printing prototypes. I know BMW has something similar with an adapter that can be mounted in a standard hydraulic jack. I believe it's called a "Jack Pad" or similar...

I'd make them pay for the repair

Some additional photos... rear tail light panel is now the correct color. ;)

You guys recommend any changes to bring more value? I've been thinking about stock front nose (getting rid of the airdam).
