new Z owner from Malaysia..Hi All!!
I don't think he's a bot because the subject is related. Maybe he just didn't see the dates. Funny thing is, I haven't seen this thread in awhile so it was fun for me to revisit.

warning about hybridz
I just checked Hybridz and don't see a problem with their server. There are a LOT of factors that could be at play here. - An ad that appears on a banner. - Over-paranoid antivirus software (trying to upsell you to a paid version) - Toolbars installed on your browser. - A virus on your computer. - Something buried in HybridZ that only appears on certain forums. All-in-all, I highly suggest getting rid of Avast or AVG. These programs are free, but, they are packed full of warnings and false positives to scare you into buying their paid versions. If you want a good antivirus software package, fully supported by Microsoft, please try using Microsoft Security Essentials - Microsoft Windows . I use this program on my Windows clients and have never had a problem. The last of unwanted virus warnings and hardcore up-sell tactics. Mike

Classic Z Insurance
Did some searching and found many of you already recommend Hagerty Insurance. I made a visit over to Hagerty (http://www.googleadservices.com/pagead/aclk?sa=L&ai=CGCunC6Z0UYnwKY6PlAL7-oDQD_Tdm7YD9Ovu9j3AjbcBEAEgoOnsBFCM9bns-P____8BYMnm_ovMpNQZoAHY3u7yA8gBAagDAcgD0wSqBLgBT9BpSyNBUJilrPMZHgW9rEFYZBGJVE3F2-clegMl4izcf2rRjBDJCMbsQswAcZktpBw2YagFlMMVWDxOOqtM4vxARYWzT-uvit45Vx8x31mR6YlDgIfv0Ha85XXdenNfJnVWzfDMN7xpdFcCgSVaP34VbBN48ptklzjFfW2V4zIWrOdNRSUs63TOh_ZbXbS7FbJjVZDjJbQKltPJyx_OtSdt40arRshdQ_0Y4aoBkWC6qxkp1ahs54gGAYAHkKGRDQ&num=1&cid=5Gg4Jq2K8P8Fdq7V9xPOhhUi&sig=AOD64_12Ln7cHXsEYByydZk7NBUdb0ortg&client=ca-pub-5869105080540878&adurl=http://www.hagerty.com/Collector-car-insurance/Auto-insurance-overview%3Faff%3Dgoog_br%26utm_source%3Dgoogle%26utm_medium%3Dcpc%26utm_content%3Dbranded%26utm_term%3Dhagerty%2520insurance%2520company%26utm_campaign%3DHagerty%2BInsurance%2BBranding%2BGDN%26mkwid%3DclQEEBRnU%26pcrid%3D16536192524%26kw%3Dhagerty%2520insurance%2520company%26mt%3D&nm=26&mb=2) ... and found a rate of $375/year for better coverage ($0 deductible). I used a total value of $20k for the car (restored cost), and zero deductible... not a bad deal. Has anyone actually had to file a claim with Hagerty?

Classic Z Insurance
Hi guys, It sure looks like State Farm doesn't want my policy anymore. A 6-month policy for the Z went up by $200 with my last renewal! Crazy they just renewed at this rate after looking at my policy. Anyway, now that my Z, which I drive under 1,000 miles a year, has gone way up... I'm looking at other alternatives. Can you guys share what you are using and any kind of rates? Here's what I've got: 100k/300k Liability 100k Property damage Personal Injury protection Comprehensive 100/ded Collision 500/ded Emergency road service Uninsured motorist 100k/300k/20k $277.18 premium (6mo) with multi car discount Same coverage on my 2000 Lexus LX470 is only $241. What are you running?

Forum Ads from Google - WTF?
Back to Arne's topic, the ads 'should' stay relevant to two areas, your browsing history and/or the content of the page you are viewing. For instance, if the page you are reading has something about auto glass in it, and yesterday you visited an insurance website, you will probably see an ad about auto glass repair or an insurance ad showing a broken window. Now,its not always perfect, but you get the general idea. In Arne's case, he might have opened a forum post about someone else's speeding violation, and then saw an ad for checking your criminal record. Although they are totally different, the company who purchased ad space probably put some kind of key word in their campaign that matched something on the site. That, or someone jumped on his computer last week to look up criminal records. Anyway, that's sorta the idea behind the Google ads.

Forum Ads from Google - WTF?
Thanks Chas! Appreciate you supporting the site by visiting the sponsors. I shouldn't have been so mellodramatic in my previous statement. Ad blockers are good for some things, just not for supporting your favorite web sites. Likewise, I always recommend turning the blocker off when you want to help the sites you visit frequently (and not just this one). M

Forum Ads from Google - WTF?
Did you know that running an ad blocker actually takes money away from the site which helps pay for us to stay alive? Ads, which I am trying to keep them in good taste, will enable us to do a lot of things here. Considering it's a free site, this is what I have to do to make this place stay afloat. It actually helps even more if you like an ad, to click and follow it. Sorry, just being an admin trying to make sure we can continue to make ends meet. Arne, I was experimenting with allowing all ads, even non-related content. However, that was a mistake and I've reverted the settings to show only ads that are relevant to your stored history/cookies. If you are still seeing the ads to check your background, you might want to clear out your cookies or make sure you know where your friends are taking your computer when you aren't around.

What do you do after 10 years hybernation?
Nice post! I've been there. EFI systems it's also good to check the rubber fuel lines to make sure they aren't breaking up and sending deposits into your fuel injectors.

Hey, if you want to repost here, it should be pretty easy. Go to the other site and log in. Find your message, and then click "edit".. Copy all of the text from the window and then come over here and log in to start a new thread. Paste the text and you should be good to go. Mike

MSA discount for CZCC
Hi guys, I saw this coming and was able to make a change tonight. You can now find your member ID underneath your avatar on every post. Take a look to the left of my post here and you should see it. I'm also trying to see if I can add it to the membership "about me" page. A bit of code hacking going on on this side of the screen...
