Go canucks!!
Well played Vancover. I am very disappointed in the Sharks. That's pretty much a season gone in 5 minutes from those 5 on 3s. Not only that, but we got five power plays in our favor in the first and could not put one home on home ice. Pretty pathetic. I give Vancover full credit for their production in this series (minus the diver Kesler).

1971 Datsun 240ZG - JDM-Style Modified Gnose on Craigslist
I know the seller personally, and he is a very straight forward and a honest guy. He will not hide ANYTHING on this car, nor tell you any false facts. The description of the car is very straight forward. I am glad esprist has given some more information on the car, as he did not know whether it was a salvage title due to damage or a theft recovery. The paint is definitely a 10 footer, but it has no signs of major rust. I don't recall finding any surface rust either. The transmission was converted to a 5 speed. Overall it is a good car, but not for someone who plans to have a show car.

Z Club
Welcome back to the scene! http://www.zonc.org/ Z Owners of Northern California is the biggest group that I know of. Their events are usually more in the North Bay. A less popular group would be BAYZA (Bay Area Z Association), however, they are a younger crowd in the South Bay. ZONC has a few fun events coming this summer.

Solution for my brake problems: Am I on the right track?
EvZ, I think you will find this thread very helpful: http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/69706-reaction-disk-pictures-and-walkthrough/ My own experience: Valuable hours and sweat have been put into puttering with my brakes in the past. If you undo the MC nuts on the booster, pull the end of MC out of the booster (no need to remove hard lines), let it sit on the side, use a hooking device to pull out the locking plate that keeps the push rod in the booster, and pull the whole push rod out. This may be the solution to all your problems. There should be a 5mm tall black rubber cylinder attached to the back of the push rod. If this "reaction disk" is missing, then you will never really get your braking right. If the reaction disk is missing, you either have to pull off the entire booster and shake the hell out of it until the "reaction disk" drops out or fabricate a 5mm tall rubber cylinder. I found fabricating easier, as your arms will be very sore after shaking the booster back and forth (it's harder than it sounds). After all this is done, leave your push rod... I would say with about 5-8mm out (from behind the nut to the end of the threading). Drive the car around and see if it is better, and adjust the push rod accordingly.

Blue Paint Code: please help me find this color
If you ask a dealer, they will look at you funny. If you are looking for touch-up paint... there isn't really a great match out there. I've looked, purchased, and failed. Your best luck will be asking a body shop to replicate it for you, although I do not know how many shops would be willing to do this. If you are looking to repaint your car, I am sure other members can direct you to a qualified shop in SoCal

Blue Paint Code: please help me find this color
Looks like my old car's 903 blue. It's definitely not 915 blue, as that is more metallic.

My 1972 240Z
Solid looking car You know, you can flip that muffler around and actually have it sit higher in the body. This way you do not see the big canister. Just a thought =)

MSA West Coast Nationals
motorman7, A friend and I plan to make the trip down to Orange County for that weekend. I do not know if we are going to bring our Z's or not, as it is a far drive for San Jose. But we definitely will stop by the Cars and Coffee meet if we go. The Z BASH should be a great day out =)

240 - 280 Engine Conversion
IMHO, too much of a hassle for an engine that MAY be unproven. Even if the PO has documentation to back it up, you still don't know how severely abused it is. Do yourself a favor... Find out the seller's name, and call Rebello to see if he has the seller's name on file. People pay big money to have Rebello motors built. They drive them hard; I would know, I drive mine hard

10x15 wheels ??
I'm going to make a prediction that at least one person who posts after me will say "go check out hybridz.org" if I do not say it first. So there you go They have great information over there relating to wheel and tire sizes. I believe seeing 255/15 Yokohama Advan's run on 10's.
