Im putting Carter rotary pump on my Z to provide steady feed of fuel for the triples. Im looking for nice pics and write-ups how to install it properly and where to steal electricity for it. Most of all im looking out for the pictures. ThankZ!
  2. Haha, "ding-dong-dingers", how funny is that I had buzzer in my Z, the most pathetic sound i've ever heard. I decieded to put it down.

My garage looks pathetic compared to you guys.
  5. Do a search and you'll find piles and piles of threads about head gasket change. Its easy and can be done alone, but extra set of hands (attached to body, preferably) are always good to have.
  6. Nice story! Z's and cars in general are like women. Like my old Datsun, it bleed oil at least once a month...

According to the manual, there is "another cam" for cold start circuit, dang.
  13. Hahaha, what a warm welcome!

I did open them up but they were quite clean, so i did not do anything to them. I have set of new gaskets ready to go if the old ones (which look quite new) starts to leak. Im looking for decent priced air filters as we speak, i wonder if these are any good or should i go with the "traditional" style filters: 2 x RAMAIR Carb Sock Air Filters Double Trumpet Weber DCOE Dellorto DHLA CS-901 | eBay

Good info and good luck with those. Remember to post (a lot of) pictures of your setup. I just noted, my first post was about selling these and now i have installed them in my Z, what the hell happened?

Just got a new toy to play with. A 1979 330 series 220C Cedric. Equipped with SD22 diesel engine (66hp's, whoopee) but im going to swap a cheap L24 i got from CA (thanks Michael!). But im in a desperate need of body panels, i already got new pass side front fender but i need one for drivers side too as well as the rear wheel arches. Floor pans (front) need a little tlc and 40% of them needs to be removed and replaced, luckily its straight sheet metal so that is not a problemo. Interior is close to mint condition, only driver seat left butt has suffered and passenger side door panel has been damaged. Mechanically this car works, and should be driveable (if the rust is not counted). If you guys know ANYONE who happen to have parts for this, PM me.

Sheesh! Thanks for the links! Too bad there aint no "plug and play" options on this one.. It would be too easy then!

Almost related to the topic but didnt want to flood the site with my "asking stupid questions" threads: i looked into few options and it seems that the wire controlled throttle is easiest and cheapest to do. I wonder does anyone sell "ready to go" sets for Z? Also if not, is there any good write-ups about doing one? My SK's are going in this month and i hope to fire them up before first snow falls.

I dont really see why they would be bad on the long run. I have SM's as well. It richens up the mixture in higher rpms and gives a bigger kick than the oem needles. In my case, my fuel mileage has gone a little poorer even we tuned my carbs with colortune. I guess that is the only bad thing i can found.

I have MSA seat covers (not installed yet) but they look awesome!
