  1. No problem with floor mats or carpet. Will have to check the kickdown bracket though.....it's a manual.... Will let you know if that was the problem...thanks for the advice guys...
  2. I am the new owner of a 78 280z....ok..ok it's a 2+2, but I had to get back into a Zcar. It's not perfect but it's got a solid frame and rails - which is rare in Missouri. My problem is that the accelerator sticks. I am able to pull the pedal back and it's fine. I have lubed everything but I think it might be the spring at the end of the rod (i think it's actually called something else). I haven't picked up a book on it yet, but I thought I would check with the experts first.
  3. I just bought a 78 280zx 2+2 and the accelerator is sticking. I can be doing 20 or 50 mph and have to pull the pedal back to slow down. It doesn't appear to the gas pedal that's sticking. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
