  1. One thing I have noticed: Last summer I changed out my intake/exhaust manifold. Being lazy I never got around to putting the heat shield back on. Since then, my hot start has gotten worse. Time to put it back on. Bad me, I should know better. Wondering if I should insulate it and were I can find insulation locally.

Agreed, I had a small swimming pool on the passenger side till I found and installed the seal. I would not expect it to make that big of a difference but it did. Even here in Seattle. I think I got mine from MSA.

Man that is sad.:cry:It looks like the theatre I work at:
  4. Are you really sure? perhaps they can. I don't know myself as I have never tried but people install all sorts of different seats ranging from BMW to Mazda's in there car. I would be surprised if 2+2 seats could not be fitted. Perhaps just swapping out slide hardware.
  5. funny someone is actually using a used strap. Mine went to the great strap land in the sky. use the improved mount with bump strap no more clunk.

needs 4' steel spikes out the front and machine guns out the hood, they could point backwards or forwards youre choice.
  7. have someone switch the blower motor on while you watch the dash pot that increases idle and see if it moves.
  8. switch or sensor? Anyhow I don't know why one would want to remove the sensor. If it is bad it's a really cheap item to replace.
  9. Just thinking out loud: What if there was an Air temp sensor that had the same resistance range as an inline resistore or pot people are putting inline from the WTS. Then if you mounted it near the fuel rail you would have automatic compinsation for the hot condition. Probably this would not work and there is no such atp in existance. Just thinking out loud.

The pic I provided shows the piece before I trimmed and glued it (only the upper portion) using lock-tight W/S cement, it is holding up nicely. The rear door peice I have not obtained yet so I can't help you there, sorry.
  11. Pull the plugs yet? and I have heard ATF fluid and let it soak for a while. I am sure other people know more than I on this one.

You may remember, the rear park bench saved my car one day! (insurance provided me with a shiney new one!)
  14. This is food for thought. My car has this issue also, worse than Fastwoman's but not as bad as Zeds. It seems that a common solution is to trick the car into thinking that it is colder than it is (or did I get that backwards?).

Hey people were hard on the hood roof guy (or was it he was hard on us?). Live Long and prosper.
  17. I know I am not answering you're question, but there are ways of getting the EFI system to perform well. Search the forum or ask what you're symptoms are and you will get help. But at the least you will need of course, a new intake monifold and carbs, but you know this already.
