  1. he should have also gotten a better pic, I overlooked it due to the dark pic. I'd love to see a 2.5 rs in the competition. But I would rather see the white R32, the owner lives in my area, very nice car, and he is a great driver. Another car I am looking foward to seeing is the NSX, this will be a first. Some of the entrants are kinda stupid though, like the 240SX. I love those cars and all but why would you enter a near stock 240. Oh well maybe 2 years down the line I will have a car that is worthy enough to be in the contest:classic:
  2. man you guys are so helpful and nice compared to most other car forums who flame every newbie that passes through. I will prolly order that book sometime soon, and read it front to back. What engines have been put in 240Zs, I have seen small block 327s, RB26s, and others that I don't know what they are, I am not too educated on domestic motors. Is there any one domestic site that covers domestic engines, or would it be better to just visit domestic forums and ask questions. I am prolly gonna go visit a chevy forum, since i will most likely put some chevy in the datsun.
  3. I take it your talking about the C5 engine, I am used to referring to the 240sx as 240, so I was confused for a bit. But hey, I am prolly going to swap in some V8 engine in there, I don't know about the TT anymore though, I kinda want one N/A car, one turbo carm and one daily driver/beater/family car. What V8 engines do you guys recommend, that will get me a lot of HP. I am ruling fords out, still got my eyes on that vette engine just not TT, but it would be nice to get some links to other people with V8 240Zs
  4. Hey, I was just wondering if someone could give me some links or some info on the 240Z. I need info about swaps and stuff. After I get out of college I plan on getting a 240Z (I'll prolly buy it during college and let it sti for a while). Then I am gonna do some engine swap, at this point I am leaning toward some sort of Domestic engine something in the V8s, would a TT C5 motor fit in there? I know it seems kinda far fethced but it will be a long project. In about a year I should have my first swap car done, an SR20DET in a 240SX, but that will be my AutoX car. I want a quick straight line car, and I love the 240Z body style. So if someone could give me some info on 240Zs and swaps, or maybe some owner sites (I have heard and seen Darius 240Z, don't know anything about it though). How much will it cost to get a 240Z, no engine needed, but a good exterior, I'll prolly rebuild the interior.
  5. There is going to be an All Nissan meet, with an expected 60+ cars, on October 12th, in Shcaumburg Illinois. It will be in Busse Woods South by Woodfield mall. E-Mail: UBettaRecognize5@aol.com for more info
  6. We are 1 day away from the big meet, hope you al can make it, we got lots of people coming, and lots of food (bring some if youd like), Remember the meet was moved to Busse South, its still basically the same location but its kinda accross the road. If you are entereing Busse Woods on Higgin from the East its the first Left, if you are entereing from the West its the last right. There will prolly be signs, and if you get there around noon there will most likely be a bunch of tuned up cars going the same way.

  8. anyone from this board coming, we already got 30+ people coming, we could always use more
  9. A few of the Nissan Forums are holding a Nissna Meet at Busse Woods in Schaumburg Illinois, its about 20-30 minutes away from ChicagoClick here to see a large map of Busse Woods . The exact location in the forest preserve hasn't been determined, it will most likely be in Busse North, seems to be a good secluded location. We are reserving the spot so nobody else will bother us. We are expecting over 30 ars (ranging from 240SXs, 300ZXs, Altimas, Maximas, Sentras, and more). If you would like to come either respond here or put your name in this list . Keep in mind that this list does not include all the people that are coming, we always have people drop by out of nowhere. If you want to bring anything for out BBQ just put what you are going to bring, keep in mind you don't have to bring anything but it never hurts. If you need anymore info respond here or go to the link below Click For more info on Meet Also there are people coming from south Wisconson if you wanted to convoy with them, also someone might be coming from Ohio, if you need to contact them then respond here.
  10. c'mon anyone wanna come, it will be lots of fun. It's not gonna be a bunch of young kids that don't know anything about cars, we have a lot of educated people that would love to see some classics. At the last meet we have someone with a Datsun 510, one classic isn't enough we need more. We need to take a headcount to see how many are coming.
  11. OK right now we are trying to make a list of all those people guaranteed to come to the meet. So if you are going to come to the July 20th Meet then please respond. If you are bringing friends just say so. Also if you want to bring anything for the BBQ (i.e. Burgers, hot dogs, a side dish, pops chips, you get the point). You don't have to bring anything so don't sweat it. We have most of the basics down, and its more of a meet that a BBQ. Here is a link for the info on the meet, hope you can come P.S. The chances of the trip to GLD or Route 66 are pretty much gone for that date b/c they have special events on that Saturday, but we might make a seperate date for it some other time.
  12. We are having a meet July 20th in Morton Grove (about 15 minutes from Chicago). It wil be ain a forest Preserve, plenty of parking, and we are gonna have a BBQ. Here is a link to the original thread on this board http://www.240z.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2768
  13. A couple of Nissan boards (b15sentra.net, sr20deforum.com, maxima.org, Zilvia.net etc.) have had a few Nissan meets. Not that many Zs showed up, There was 1 on the last meet on the 16th, and one at the April meet. So I decided that we need to get to more Z boards. We are trying to do a monthly meet with all Nissans and, this time around we are planning early. "so far we are planning on july 20th at st paul woods as being our most solid plan so far a meet and bbq as we've been having. there are ideas of a proposed nissan camp out and such but that is in discussion as of now. the other thing that is being discussed is a date at the drag strip this may be the 20th depending on other peoples replies. " It would be great to get your guys input on wether or not you could come. Tell all your friends with Nissans, see if they can come or not. Also if you can bring food or a grill or anything just reply back to the board and I will tell all the other forums. The place is located at Oakton and Caldwell, in Morton Grove IL. At the pic below you see where it says st Paul Woods, go to the entrance on Oakton and keep going North till you see Nissans. Keep in mind the date is not official but if a lot of people can make it then it will probably be official. Here is a link to a couple of the Nissan meets we have had. http://www.thedriven.org/index2.html. If you go to Nissan BBQ (or Nissan BBQ Take 2), that wil give you more maps on the location of the park, and pics of the first meet. For pics of the second meet go to Nissan BBQ Take 2 Pics If you need anymore info reply here and I will help you out.
