  1. That's a great write-up Six_Shooter. Let me just add that "Dual sequential turbos" are fairly common in the turbocharging world (both production and aftermarket) but I believe correctly matching your (AggieZ) own two of different sizes would be significantly more difficult.

Chris, I'm located in Washington. As are A Lot of the members on this site. Anyone one of us would probably be happy to take a look for you. I think it would be a good idea to get a 3rd opinion. In my experience it doesn't hurt.
  3. I've run into this twice now on my '70. I assumed it was because of the diaphram that prevents the throttle from closing for several seconds after you lift your foot off of the gas. But next time I fill up, I'll put a higher grade in her and see if it happens again.
  4. Don't do it! I think you'll miss the carbs. But if you decide you do really want to do it, there's plenty of info on the switch in the technical forums. Welcome!

I am unequivocally %100 sure, and would bet my mother's life on it. General Motors (GM) is the largest auto company in the world. It owns the major brands Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac, Pontiac, Buick and Hummer. Ford Motor Company is the second largest American auto company and owns Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Volvo, Jaguar (for now) and until recently, Land Rover and Aston Martin. Chrysler LLC(formerly DiamlerChrysler) recently split from Diamler-Benz (Mercedes) to once again become an American company. It owns Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep.

GM owns Chevy. Ford is it's own brand. Chrysler owns Dodge.

No. No. No. None of the major American car companies declared bankruptcy. Not Ford, not GM, not even Chrysler. They simply restructured. And Ford and GM are now both doing better than they have been over the past few years, with each company turning a profit finally. However, things are more bleak for Chrysler. They've ****ed things up pretty bad, but I think even they will survive. And no, Ford and Chrysler are not part of any "GM chain," whatever the hell that is.

We don't have to worry about this. Ferrari tried it with the Enzo, requiring oil changes to be done at a Ferrari dealership using oil that was $60 per quart otherwise Ferrari would void their warranty. And they got hit with a class action lawsuit and lost. Judge said Enzo owners had the right to change their own oil, or get it changed wherever they wanted and were free to use less expensive oil without fear of voiding their warranty.

My 02/70 as the Nissan 2400 OHC cover, but it's painted black. However, the square and "Nissan 2400 OHC" are not. I'm assuming from what I've read that this is not stock, correct?

Thanks guys. And Exdamyankee; the MSR's I got from MSA are Autopal so it's good to know you're satisfied.
  13. I can confirm both on my 02/70 Z. However it was changed over to a double sided key at some point, so I can't lock the box. Didn't ever try it untill just now, and I was unaware mine originally had a one sided key.

Thanks guys, and don't worry, I've already contacted Dave about the Headlight Upgrade Harness. I know quite a few people run H-4's with no problem, but I was wondering if the MSR will be a problem. Looks like i'll just have to try 'em out

I just got a pair of H-4 Multi-Surface Reflector headlamps, and I'd like to know if anyone else has used this style. They're non DOT approved, and I just want to know if I can get away with running them on the street, or if they are a hazard to oncoming traffic, etc.
  18. Carl- I am the "Jon from Bellingham" and it's 1704. Thanks for the info though! I registered on the Classic Registry, but it hasn't been updated yet. It was mfg 02/70 and I'll have to check again for the engine numbers.
  19. Congrats on the find, I recently bought HLS30-01704 and this site has been indispensable. BTW, you've got the closest VIN to mine that I've found yet.
  20. i didn't get those white faces for the very reason that their pic shows it starting at 10mph (even though it says 70-74).
  21. i love the sound of her going down the road, but she's getting a new, complete stereo system
  22. My sig has all my info, but I've added it to the registry, thanks Mike!
