Tires: smear lightly with lanolin so they don't dry out, then store in a trash bag. Battery: The cold won't hurt, but HEAT will. Storing on the concrete is OK, but if the acid leaks ( non-sealed batteries) you get pitting. That's why you don't store on the concrete!
  2. I use coffee filters for that stuff. I filter gasoline with them too. You should see what's in your gas.
  3. Somebody wanted to put Mr. K's signature on his dash, so go click this link: http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=9985
  4. You sure that wasan't some kind of crystal DRAIN-O? That stuff is supposed to be really caustic, I think.
  5. What kind of stuff is out there to make yourself a system to hot tank parts at home? the wire wheel just doesn't get into the little spots on those old, painted, and rusty parts! thx
  6. Just check my photo gallery or web site.
  7. Is that only for show cars? My plan is to do some mechanical restoration (obviously), the GTO body kit, and maybe in the end, engine rebuild with trans swap. Also, I would upgrade the interior with period-correct materials & looks for a late 60's enzo. Just got the liability for now, so i can drive from service station to body shop thx
  8. Isn't that where most of it is? Engine, trans, seats, dash, carpets, fenders.....
  9. I think I will look into getting that engaved into a placard for the dash.Maybe even some vinyl. Stick that you ricers!!!
  10. Is this the guy? http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=9985
  11. Mr. Spock would say,"there is no LOGIC in luck." aAgent Scully would say, " explain the SCIENCE of luck." -Spock out.
  12. I guess some people have all the bad luck, huh?
  13. That's how I see it. the PU bushing is so firm, it would be like a solid metal block, so the tension rod HAS TO BEND with the up/down of the wheel. The flexing stresses the weakest part, the stepped/threaded end,and after so many flexes, it breaks. So you put in the softer rubber bushes to absorb & allow the flexes. Just remember to buy extra sets, so you can replace them after so many years, in case they will be NLA...:disappoin
  14. the same people have lots of money to afford reinforced ( as in bricks & lumber), enclosed storage. What's so bad about a steel building, steel garage or modern "pole barn"?
  15. Is there an advantage to having your Zed as a second car on your primary insurance (for the daily driver)? I know I got a discount because I use the same ins. provider as my mom & dad's vehicles (multicar discount).
  16. My problem is that I don't have a garage for storage, so mine sits in the driveway in front of the house. Usually with the cover on.
  17. TomoHawk posted a gallery image in Big Z Photo Collection
  18. I gues i'll be p[aying $450 a year for my insurance when I start driving it. sigh....
  19. I think you have to keep the car in the garage, too. Most companies require that
  20. Why not hook up thee flashers to the subwoofer amp? Remember the old disco lights that changed color & danced with the music? forget the name.
  21. The signatures idea is a good one tho. Better than "Datsun"
  22. First you said you had both signaturees, and then you posted two attachments, so I figured those were them. The perspectives made them look different. the sun visor one was better, but it won't be easy to isolate it.
  23. Sorry, bud. Open containers aren't allowed in cars. Drinking and driving isn't allowed, either.
  24. Which is Mr. K., and which is Mr. Matsuo?
  25. Which is which.? thx
