Electric Pump Kill Switch
Why would you want to turn off the fuel pump. It turns on & off as part of the engine controls, and engine safety controls.

interior panel pop in buttons
I ended up using s 1/8 inch wood dowel for the pins. I checked it first by pushing the dowel though an old rivet, and needed to sand it just a touch, but it fit perfectly! 50cents, as opposed to $8 for complete rivets! Just cut some to length- about 15mm. Push them in and paint with a cotton swab. You should get a few dozen pins from a 36" dowel.

Welp... got reallllyy bored.. cleaned the car and took some pics...
The grass was short and neat- in most of the photos. You gotta be careful to have that golf-course look in all the photos.

Vacuum from Rocker Cover vent
Surprisingly, my hose is still supple, especially since it's so near the exhaust manifold. I'm going to have to get that hose off, and check & replace it and the p.c.v. valve. thx

Vacuum from Rocker Cover vent
Mine is the second one,nd a I already have that diagram someplace. I'm still trying to find out where the P.C.V. thing is, or is that the hose under the intake? No dashpot either. thx

Vacuum from Rocker Cover vent
You're thinking of the wrong end of that hose. The vacuum is coming from inside the rocker cover.

Vacuum from Rocker Cover vent
I noticed that i'm getting a significant amount of vacuum from the hose connected to the rocker cover. Is that correct? thx.

The vacuum slenoids are under the hood on the right side by the fuse links. The vacuum can should be underneath.

In dash cd player with extra
The ones I saw that all the stuff on it were from JVC. JVC Arsenal CD Receivers Most decent (less expensive) receivers are now under $200, about $170 on average. I see no reason to sped kilbux on a receiver & speakers. You really should be able to hear what's going on outside the car instead. What would do with the remote? I just reach over and adjust things- it's only 2 feet...

In dash cd player with extra
I looked at some of those things at a car audio store last week. One had a USB port on the front so you can plug in your IPOD (a 4-letter wordLOL ) or a USB flash drive. The latter one was scary, because the flash drive sticks out , and you could possibly kick it or hit it with something:eek: breaking it and/or the port, rendering the whole unit worthless. Having an IPOD port on the back is better, and the unit I liked best (from JVC) had a built-in CD/MP3 disk player, a mini-jack for your portable CD or MP3 player, satellite radio interface, etc, and an interface on the back for CD mgazine, etc.

1980 280ZX wheel color on Silver 1977 280Z.. suggestions?
I got the impression that there was a community of Jags? That reminds me of a few communities in the States where everybody own airplanes and the runway in just past your back yard! Would you consider an airplane hangar as a 3 1/w2- car garage?Something to do with your $200 Mill MegaLotta winnings- a neiborhood of Z owners!...

77-78 hood vents needed
Those look really neat- in a modern sense. Do you think you could put some fins inside, like the OEM ones? It could make it look a little more like OEM, but it also has the newer frame that isn't brittle. I'd bet that only knowledgable people would know the dkifference. Either that or just leave it open for more air flow (assuming they're functional vents.) The rally hood was interesting... I wonder if you can aim those lamps, and I'll assume the lamps clear the bumper when you open the hood.

SeaFoam treatment... VIDEO and instructions! Lots of smoke...
It could be that. The ingredients are "petroleum distillates" which can include oil types, and a sniff didn't smell like any solvent I know, so maybe all I did was to coat the inside of the engine with some oily stuff, then let it soak in, and boil & burn it off. OH- the engine did syall a few times while feeding the Seafoam in..

SeaFoam treatment... VIDEO and instructions! Lots of smoke...
I put another can of Seafoam through the engine today- the WHOLE can. I used the intake port (ahead of the throttle boddy) for the valve cover hose this time to see if I could clean up the throttle plate (I heard about using 'throttle body spray' on TV.) It smoke a little while the Seafoam was goin in, but the real surprise was after I gave t 5- minute rest, then off to the highway. It smoked like mad- even inside the car. I suppose the open windows allowed the exhaust to circulate back in, but eventually it was cleaned out ( after about 8 miles.) Again this surpised me even more than the last time I tried Seafoam because it smoke twice as thick. So now I'm wondering why I got some smoke the last time I used Seafoam, and a lot more thistime? Dose that mean I'm starting to get get the carbon off finally? Maybe I should get another can after a tankfull (about 300 miles?) thx

77-78 hood vents needed
Speaking of cracks. Should the vents lay in tight and not flex? That's probably why they crack. maybe a strip of double-sided tape in one or two inconspicuous spots will keep them from flexing or vibrating.

77-78 hood vents needed
The point is that the MSA fiberglass vent looks bad, but if there was one that goes in from the bottom, to hide the bolts, I think it would look better. And I think it would also look good if it was a vent made with some louvers, even though a scoop-type vent might be able to let more air out. Some hot rod guys use put louvers on the hood in small groups, like the Z has. Some put a whole line or several lines of louvers. I didn't want the full link to the MSA louvers in my post because it wouldn't help illustrate MY point, and might be mistaken that way. And I put in the same link into post at the time I created it, not after.

Installing Rear Strut Bar
Other than bolting the bar on, what would you do with the plastic covers & the seat belt units? Anybody have pics of a finished install? thx

77-78 hood vents needed
If they were the kind that go in the hole from the bottom and stick up like they do in the picture, they might be worth looking into. Otherwise, I'd go with some metal ones with louvers punched into them, like hot rodders use. Those should also go in from the bottom & stick up high enough.
