This isn't to insult Mike or anything, but there's a place you can visit to see & buy T-shirts, stickers, etc or millions of different things: http://www.cafepress.com type Datsun in the search box, and watch whatch comes up. :cheeky:
  7. Since you're on the subject, perhaps a car from the 70's deserves to be repaired using the techniques used during those years, as appropriate. ?
  8. If there were holes, then they should have filled them with lead or solder or something like that, but not body filler. It's guaranteed the filler will pop out eventually.
  9. When people talk about the FSM (Factory Service Manual,) it's totally different than any regular book, like the Chilton's or Hayne's books. The FSM is about 1000 pages, give or take, and is specific to your year and/or exact model. You can get the FSM in print, or on CD. The wiring diagrams can sometimes be found at the library. The Mitchell's books have good wiring diagrams, IMO, and they are big enough to read without a magnifying glass. thx

When did they upgr)de the frappr maps? (fraappr.net/zowners) There was a search box on the map, where you could type in a zipcode or city, to look up who's there... Did I look in the wrong spot? thx

Whatever, as long as they have Daisy Fuentes playing the part of Trixie.

The Corvette driver was playing with the 350Z car. That's the only way it could've finished as good as it did. The stock Mustang did good, and the YearOne Camaro should give his owner a refund for the restoration.

You stole my line, Mike. I think Matt will find the people here much different than on say, Zcar dot-something. No flaming here, but some "comment's" can make you wonder... The AtlanticZ website seems mostly focused on how-tos,and others have their forte's, but you will find the members here prefer to exchange information & experiences, even though there are some grups of people who like to hang out because they have similar cars or locations.

I posted too early. Just after I read that the movie was suoposed to come out in late May, 2008. I found some different dates. One even said it "might" come out in 2009!
  15. You must have a really rare 240z, if it was a '78! Do a search on this subject. You may want to think hard about removing your OEM "5 MPH" bumper, because if you do get into some kind of collision, your car will suffer the worst of it.
  16. Before you try to "bolt on" horsepower, you need to make sure the car is working its best with the parts you have. Make sure the air/fuel mix is right, the spark plugs are good & timing is at its best, your trans isn't slipping, and all the rest of the stuff. If the clutch was old & slipping, a new one may have been in order but changing the cluch to a 'performance' unit may have been just wasting money, as just a new tock unit could have done the same. An entire engine rebuild, on a car that could be up to almost 40 years old, may even be in order... Replacing the stock fan didn't necessarily need to be done, as the fan shouldn't be totally engaged if the engine is cold. That bit was a 'luxury.' Saving weight is only good as long as you save a LOT of weight; the rule of thumb is that for every 100 Lbs. of weight removed will save you 1/10 second in the 1/4. Putting go-fast parts on a poor engine or car just makes it a more expensive slug.

I looked up the movie, and according to imdb.com, it's now "in production," and scheduled to come out next year. There was no information on the cast yet.

Against an early (Year One) Camaro, a newer Mustang and Newer Corvette... In the 1/4- the 350 sucked. What a slug. Road Atlanta-

Do you know how you will handle the fuzzy window strip along the top?

It sounds like this guy also owns Z Specialties.com
  21. TomoHawk posted a post in a topic in Fuel Injection
If you want to read up on the fuel injection stuff that YOU can do, go to the AtlanticZ.ca tech section and read the in the Fuel System column for AFM & adjustments, cleaning, TPS adjust, AAR check, and the electrical stuff in the Engine column. Then go read the rest. The re-read things some more. If that guy has 50 Zs, are they all HIS? or are those from customers who brought them back becase they're still not fixed right :lick: (just kidding.) I think Tony is right about the ECU- if it wasn't working, the engine wouldn't be running. They're so simple; all transistors & no microchips, and nothing to adjust. thx

What about the tailpipe from a motorcycle? They can get into fairly large diameters and look nice. Could even serve as the entire muffler itself! This one of for a Ducati:

\What's the general rule for swapping your license plates for a car show? so as long as you put the real one back on for the street, IMO, it shouldn't matter what's on the back for show or judging.

Yu change your muffler over at the car show??

Would you call that retro-nuovo? This is what a 250 exhaust is supposed to look like, whichis w:here I got the idea for the glasspacks
