Rear caliper mounting brackets
I think the use of the 240SX rear calipers is best because the ZX calipers won't work right with the e-brake cable. Here's a few links on rear calipers for you to browse: http://www.modern-motorsports.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=2&PHPSESSID=a96540e9cb9f037e2f9de119d0d39e02 http://www.zcarcreations.com/howto/rearbrake.htm http://mywebpages.comcast.net/pparaska/280zxreardiscs.htm http://www.fonebooth.com/brakes_zcar.html (front & rear) Hope it helps. With all the differnt options, it gets confusing.

e-bay datsunz903?
If I had some Z stuff I wanted to sell, I would probably put it up for sale here first. I bet some guys already know what YOU might have in the back room and are just waiting for you to put it up for sale! BTW, I have a chrome hood emblem you can have, if you want it. I took most of the emblems off already, just keep a couple on to keep the holes plugged! Have a frugal day...

Very Very expensive 280
I finally figured out the "B" in "B-210" etc. stands for "Bluebird." I don't know why they would keep the Bluebird name tho.

Very Very expensive 280
well, that's what you get when you buy from a dealer that 'specializes in Z cars.":ermm:

Very Very expensive 280
I paid half for mine that was in about the same good condition and less miles.

My New Datsun
Good thing that lady doesn't have an N.A.D.A bluebook. The value of your car is around $5000.

oeps, we did it again we drove a rally!
We have those rally races here in the U.S! We just call them 'Beer run' or 'scavenging hunt.'

irl or cart?
Same thing with the european touring car races. Those are regular cars( fixed up some) that they race. I've never seen any sponsor sticker- just car number.

S30 ID Numbers & Tags
After the recent discussion on vehicle 'originality' and watching the "Car Search" prgram and B-J auctions, I started to wonder if Zeds had all the tags, stickers and numbers that all those big-dollar collector cars had(like muscle cars, vintage, sports cars). I have all the documentation I got on my car, S/N 434056 and maybe it'll help with future value. Having all the number "match" might avoid some arguments. Can you get a build sheet for your Zed?

Replacement Rear Covers for Headlamps?
In OHIO, you're more likely to find a 350Z in the JY, or a 300ZX. Otherwise, if you call around, they'll tell you "We ain't got no OLD cars- you gotta go to Arizona for them." Not popular enough to keep around. That or there's just a pile of RUST where the car used to be But I'll bet you the rubber stuff isn't too bad. I should call around to see what is out there locally. Maybe I can get some decent wiring off of one.

S30 ID Numbers & Tags
OK, I know all of those tags & stickers so far- they are the usual ones. I was wondering if there are any I don't know of, or any secret ones. thx

Barrett-Jackson 240z
It looks like I bought my car froim the wrong place! I could have gone to Palm Springs (not too far from where I got my car) and bought a car that was in MUCH better condition, then drive it home!

irl or cart?
Irish League? I don't care for open-wheel cars because I see too many wheels getting broken off. Or climing over each other. Those things (especially F-1) are purpose-built, so I don't care for that either, even though the early cars were open- wheel designs. Only the select few get to drive those- coupes are open to anybody. As long as they have to make both left andright-hand turns. I think it takes real talent to make turns in both directions. Circle track stuff makes me dizzy!

The 8% premium goes down with the final price. I think after 300,000 , there is no premium.

Shifter with Cables
I think it's more like they don't want to do any thinking- just make the sale. Because if they get you the part they think you want, it might not be what YOU were thinking of and have to take it back, get another one... It helps me to know where to start. thx

Replacement Rear Covers for Headlamps?
No worries! I just feel kinda wierd sometimes because I usually get these peculiar problems. Good thing the info is something wverybody can use! But I DO see a problem that these pieces will be difficult, if not impossible, to get new or reproduction. Just get yours out, clean off all the junk, and copy the pattern onto some rubber matting, no? One less problem to work on now...

Shifter with Cables
I was going to get a shifter from a newer Escort last summer, but it looked way to hard to do it without getting under there. the JY has all the cars on the ground... So maybe I can call around to see if there's a JY with the shifter already out. The problem is JYs all want a SPECIFIC model & year, so can you suggest one? You know I'm talking about a manual trans shifter , not automatic. thx

Shifter with Cables
I mean used in any car they got now.

Replacement Rear Covers for Headlamps?
Mine is a 78 too. I didn't notice the bolts because of all the undercoatring :devious: I'll keep it in mind if/when I get my car back (c. mid-April) thx.

Replacement Rear Covers for Headlamps?
Than you, Steven! I really didn't want to stir up all the trouble, but I really thought the piece was MUCH smaller, to cover the area behind the headlamp., so you could get at the lamp's plug. Do you think that I could just cut/remove the front part, to get at the headlamp wiring, then make a new piece to stick in there (Like a piece of rubber "welcome mat")? Mr. brandy- It looks to me like your picture is of the inner fenderwell, which attaches to the side of the unibody; I remember that from my last 280. Disclaimer: I don't usually make a big thing about stuff, but the easy things I can find using the SEARCH FEATURE!

Which car(s) have manual shifters that use cales instead of rods? thx
