  4. Hi Chris My friend did a engine rebuild recently Filipe A
  5. Hi Chris Why are you asking that? is there any case related to that... so here goes what`s happen with me. I did a big restoration on my car , and engine was one of the parts that i restore as weel. I changed the piston rings, timing chain kit, gas, water and oil pumps, new hoses, etc... At beninig I run it and felt like the carbs were stop working and the engine stop working too and i was forced to pull side of the road. I changed the correct termostat degrees for 76.5 C, not 81C, because i saw a little high tempetarure on gauge them normal. I change it and keep it running and he did it again for a couple of times (only)... Now i put new carbs and everything works fine... but still don`t know what it was... Now i have a friend that has this problem as well, and i want to help him, the engine was redone, and car works fine at idle readlly good engine sound, but at road he can not put the throttle down as car might stop working. The carbs or engine start to fail and he has to pull over and wait a little of time, them it starts again and run a little better... Any solutions? Filipe Azevedo

Hi I had a friend that has this same problem (blue 240z), when the car is cold and it runs at idle it runs good, but when we goes to the road it runs really bad and sometimes it stop at road. I must tell you that engine was rebuilt too, but not many new parts were apllied. Can you tell me what is the vacuum lines? i think i know, but just checking, they are the air hoses that engines has, all of them?? We get toghether last saturday, 3 240z, to help each other. My car didin`t suffer for that problem now, but once he did that, but i didn`t do nothing because engine was all rebuilt and i changed all parts. Does he need to change - spark cables; - fuel pump; - distributor; - vacuum hoses; any advice would be just great

Hi My panels are aftermarket, bought from Eiji at Datsun Spirit, they are very nice and looks really great on my car. My old ones were very bad shape. I took one piece of the holder strut off and "cut off" a little of plastic with a machine, (see picture, sorry my english). The finish was very good, much better them a X-acto, that i tried as well. Besides, with that machine it cleans and soft were i cuted before, so it was a better finish. What i also did was, the straith parts ends, i round them a little with the machine and once again it was great, no one see the differences. Filipe Azevedo If you do that, you will see what i mean. Hope that helps.

Hi Kats I will put here some pictures of the the registration papers of my car. NISSAN PORTUGAL was the first registration and it had the name of Entreposto Comercial de Automoveis and i think (not sure) that they did the same to all 240z cars. After that (don`t know if it was a show car), my car was sold and at the begining you will see that it changed hands very quick as i know that the first onwer (after Nissan) only drives slow cars as Corolla 1.2 or the VW Bettle, very popular here. When he bought this new car in 1971, people had some scared as they face some kind of begin of accident, like a spining car and more stuff, so they sold it before they get kill... You should know that roads here in that time were not so good as now, and they were all stone rocks (don`t know word in english) and besides that add raining weather, roads with oil leaks, etc... I contact with all them as they told me fantastic stories about my car, the way it looks, the way it ran, etc... Nice stories... Anyaway, about Nissan Entreposto i bought a book some weeks ago, and the front book page shows a Rally Car with Nissan Entreposto decal on it, i add another picture with another or the same Rally car back in 1974 in Portugal, on Rac Rally or Rally Vinho do Porto, name that was call here. What can you find there about NISSAN ENTREPOSTO in Japan? Alan told me that Nissan Entreposto in Portugal had very good relations there and it was frequently visited by Portuguese Engineers at the time. Alan also told that it could be a reason that 240z cars were so well equiped. Here goes the pictures

HI Kats That´s a very nice finding. I think that it`s just great and you should get more information about it. As you told before about your car, my car was also previous onwed by Nissan Portugal in first registration. As you did your research i did it myself and found that too. Them it changed for several onwers and iam the 7th onwer of the car as well When i get the papers with the list of the previous onwers of my car i contact everyone, and i have contact with them recently, specially when i finished my car, i had pleasure to show them. Hope to gets some news from you sooner Filipe Azevedo

Hi Alan Regarding your question about the Japanese letterring, here is what i found in my dashboard after i changed for a new one. I don`t know what that means, and it`s right in red colour. See pictures
  24. Hi Today, i took some pictures of my car and the 2 spare wheels that i have right now. I can see that the wheels that my car has right now, has some mark, but unreadble. The spare one that i bought weeks ago, we can see clear what is shoe there, but I don`t understand it`s meaning. THE WORDS are RW ? ? A 060 - Can anyone tell what that means? Please see the pictures
  25. Yes At begining, when i started to like 240zs it was normal to see all of them (Portuguese 240z cars) with that wheels. Them i start to study and see the diferences between Europe, USA and Japan market, and they were notorius. All the cars, ordered by Entreposto Nissan Dealer at the time had that wheels, and they were standard here in Portugal. All cars has 5 wheels per car, it means one was at the trunk. I bought a set of Konig rewing to change them, to look diferent, but at the end, i let it stay with the original ones, i think it suits better Hope you like the pictures. Filipe
