Those running clear Dorman filters to their SUs
Thank you. I'm going to swap to electric and use the G2 as well, then a second before the carbs. "Supposedly", my tank was cleaned before I bought the car back. There has been a lot of junk filling up the filter. Put a new one on yesterday and it is filling again. I may have to pull the tank again. Anyone know if a 73' tank is a the same as a 71? I have a nice clean tank from my wrecked 73 I could use.

Those running clear Dorman filters to their SUs
Can anyone tell me when if they are running the clear filter like the dorman, when the car is running is it completely full, 1/4, 1/2? I know I have some junk in my tank but when the car is running mine is only 1/4, to 1/2 full. I know I've thought I've seen it completely full before but recently I've been having issues. Possibly my mechanical fuel pump is failing. I was going to switch to low pressure pump by the tank soon, but just wondering.

Rust free front fenders
Ok that makes sense about the liner I knew that likely there were mounting points for it but other than that I thought everything bolted right up. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

Was the 240z on hybrid that was on eBay and BAT to much? I thought I saw you post over there. I think he is a dealer too and could likely arrange shipping.

78 280z flooding when starting
Do this and take a pair of small vise grips and clamp the hose going to it. I've seen them fail without being turned on electrically.

My new 1976 280z project
I would change this a little bit. Before removing any fuel lines, just jumper the fuel pump. If it doesn't' work, get a new one first before removing any fuel lines.

Have your mechanic go through the trouble shooting section in the FSM. Start with the fuel injection section. Efec.pdf under here: http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/280z/1982/1982 280zx FSM/ The CHTS can cause havoc on these motors.

WIW: 1972 240Z ITS race car
I'm assuming it has to be worth a minimum of $2K as just a stock shell with little rust. Lots of stuff missing to make a daily driver. The cage looks like it has been hacked and would likely need to be reworked to be certified legal again for ITS. The... (SCCA ITS stuff: coil overs, tokicos, big sway bars, strut bar, adj TC rods, Sunpro gauges, adj brake bias, fuel cell, Holley electric pump) parts used may not have all that much value, but would be a good start for someone wanting to get started in ITS. As it sits, I don't see why you can't ask $4K. It's a very niche market in my mind.
