I had a similar problem. A slow leak from the cable. I ordered new O-rings from the dealer, and the leak got worse. It appeared that the diameter of the dealer ring was smaller than the original. The replacement ring did not full up the entire groove. I went to an industrial supply store and found a ring the same size as what was on the car. It ended using a standard not metric, but it hasn't leaked yet. good luck
