Well for about a houndred bucks you can get a Diagnostic and that'll give you a complet list of everything you need to fix before it becomes a problem at least. After that it becomes about the Duckets  :dead: BTW Did you change your Sparkers, how do they look? ~Z~

Could be a few things, 1~ If your coil is shot it may not spark at all in my guess but at least you getting some spark for now. 2~ My fuel pump was bad and was running a good number of psi below normal opperating preasure. Sblake said I can change it myself which I did and now I notice a huge difference in the amount of GET UP AND GO even on 5 cylinders. if your pump is bad you may hear it running but it may not be sending enough gas. Did you say you smell no gas in the exaust as BuDavid suggested? 3~ Shot fuel preasure regulator IMO. ~Z~

I find it hard to beileve all 6 injectors are clogged at the same time but you never know, stranger things have happened. Try BuDavids idea before you go buying injectors and what not. Also do you remeber where the plug wires were set on the Dizzy in the beginning, i.e. can you put them back the way they were?

My repair manual says your ignition coil could be shot. Theplug wire in center of the Dizzy runs to this. Might need replacing or you ignition timing and/or valve timing may be off. Did you try all 6 possible starting point as sugested? ~Z~

What combo is good with 9 pound Flywheel?
Whats harsh bout it? She is my daily after all though and I was only thinking since the works gotta be done I might as well put race stuff in while I'm at it. Would still like to keep it comfy though. I read the "launching" out of neutral can be harse but what causes that? Really don't plan on doing to much racing besides track days and leaving them on the streets (See Speeding :ninja:). But since the rainy seasons coming I might not be doing much of that in to long. Will my pedal travel change or can I keep it the same? I'm afraid even if I go with stock I'll losse that "Flick of the Ankle" clutch pedal. Like I said, I'm not sure it thats a normal way a 280Z clutch pedal is supposed to travel or not but I would like to keep it that way. ~Z~

I think so, the black cylinder mounted on the fender above the left front wheel? With the wire going from it to the center of the Dizzy? I thought I had that name right :tapemouth

carpet glue or sticky stuff?
Yeah, your not the only one buddy, I'm about to go out and drop off this Pizza Slut application myself :tapemouth Turns out Ruby used to deliver for them. I was under the grille working on my Rack bushings and saw a Pizza Slut fridge magnet sticking to the back of the bumber Talking about 555-5555 :rambo: Reason why I asked about Ninja Turtle Green was one of my Co Slaves (a.k.a. Co Workers) was telling me about her son who has a '90 something CRX and painted it "Ninja Turtle Green" and that was his fav color and always dressed up as a Ninja Turtle for Holloween. First thing I said was I know someone who would love that ! Far as your Carpet question thats an interesting one as need to replace mine too. The meterial is fairly new but the Black ink is brown in places but still very soft. Only the sun's getting to it for being old school aftermarket. ~Z~

Ok, on my Z at least If your standing on the drivers side fender facing and looking across the enigne then 12 o'clcok will face the engine, 3 o'oclock is facing the windshield, 9 o'clock is the facing the front of the car and 6 o'clcok is facing you and the front wheel drivers side. If that don't work then rotate the plugs in one direction untill you try all 6 possible starting points. be sure your sparkers are connected to the correct wires again. If that don't work then we have a sitiuation

I have to find these!!!
Yep, the only ones in Darbji's style keep turning up in 5 lugs. It should be coming time for a 4 lug set to turn up since it's been about 2 weeks now. Only 4 luggers at all I've seen was a NICE looking set of a previously posted style in a Z bolt pattern advertised for a VW. Heres a link to what a "Like New" Polished set would look like. I wish I could have 'em cause they DOOOOOOOO look nice Nextime I post a Rim they'll be the right ones Darb Sblake's shakin his head now http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/VOLKSWAGEN-OLD-BEETLE-TURBINE-WHEELS-68-79-V-W_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ43954QQihZ017QQitemZ270173752849QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW ~Z~

No problem Homes. Just to note the pic may have for example #2 plug in the 11" o'clock position but it may be in the 12 or 10 o'clock position depending on how the dizzy has been rotated or angle installed. Just keep in mind the order is the same so pull the plugs and move them farword or backward to the next plug one at a time untill you get the set up that will start. Here goes the firing for my Z and most likey yours form my Chiltons Repair manual. Clockwise order from left to right on the dizzy cap starting at 1 o'clock position is Sparker (Spark Plug) #6, 3, 5, 1, 4, 2. So Sparker #6 goes to the Dizzy plug at 1 o'clock. The sparker at the back of the engine closet to the firewall is number 6 with Sparker #1 being the closet to the front of the car. ~Z~ Firing order 280Z

What combo is good with 9 pound Flywheel?
Would a slipping clutch disc cause engine over heating? Just something I noticed when I last got the car back to park it, it was running hot at redline 250F and was staying there for about 5 minuts or so. For the 2 days It was running temps used to go to about 200F before the Themostat opened and brought the temps back down to the halfway mark at around 160F I believe. Also was told from the seller the Cromemolly Flywheel above is made by Nakamura Racing and wieghs in at around 7.245 lbs. I ran a searce for Nakamura and on the only company site I found they drag and race motorcycles in Japan. On other search results I see turner cars and such listing Nakamura items as some of the gear Still researching and let ya know final results. I hear the peddle travel has go all the way to the floor with these. My current set up only needs 4 inches to totally disengage the clutch. Other words if I place my toes on the clutch peddle I only have to flick my ankle down while kepping the pivot of my heal in the same place. Don't know if this is normal for all '77 280's or Z's in general as I never driven another before and still don't know what "race" mods or upgrades where done by the PO's ACT is the largest used company in the import car scene today, According to thier ad in Dsport :rambo:. Also I've read in other forums for S30Z cars and such that the Centerforce 2 clutch dic was only good upto 300 Wheel Horsepower. Regardles of car I suppose as the post usually claim grip material as almost gone within a very short amount of time on rides cracking the 350 and up HP rating. Will keep researcing and hopefully provide some findings for use as I've just dicovered that theres differences in meterial qualities and characteristics like Chromemolly, Carbon, Organics and so on.... Theres an article in this months Dsport (November 2007 Issue 59) on CARBONETIC's Carbon Series twin and triple disc clutch systems good upto 1,100 or 1,400 HP Describes roughly the pros and cons of carbon clutches too, so I'll read this aswell and hopefully dig up the Dsport buyers guide to clutches while at it. ~Z~ ~Z~

1969 240Z HLS30-00059 for sale.
What would the engine number be on number 59?

Starting Issue.
Cranks but won't start , plugs wires are wrong at the Dizzy (Distrubutor Cap) cap. Try making sure the firing order is right then try it again. Should start right up. Also make sure you plugs wires are in the right order at the Sparkers (Spark Plugs). I'm sure I'm problely wrong here about the engine still cranking with dizzy plugs in wrong order but I think thats what my '77 was doing when I re installed my plugs wrong after running a compression test. Car would'nt start till I got the plug order right on the Dizzy cap. ~Z~

Anyone have a set of these Spinners?
I THINK I FOUND THE LITTLE BUGGERS :D:rambo: ! ! WO HOOOO ! ! ! ! ! Heres the website on Ebay, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Spinners-Corvette-Wheel-Angle-Spinner-Set-Hub-C4-84-87_W0QQitemZ180166461098QQihZ008QQcategoryZ43961QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Supossedly these they're selling are for stock Corvette 84-87 aluminum wheels and are directional meaning 2 left and 2 right hand sides. Spinners themselves are also Aluminum. Dead spot one to the ones I need as they were "Universaly made" as stated before although my LesShwab didn't carry them. I'll contact them shortly and see if the measurements are the same as mine. For archive reference, (2-7/16" to 2-9/16" center hole. The mounting area for an optional emblem measures 1¾") Notice the comparisons though, sorry for the big picture :tapemouth ~Z~
