the hood on my 260 wont close the lach is messed up.the hood is up but the latch is jambed and wont let the hood down. can somebody tell me whats cousing this?

Sounds like you need to do a little maintenance on your latch mechanism. The latch is actuated via a pull cable, as you have probably figured out by now. Anyway, disassemble the latch, inspect it for cracks, repair if necessary, reassemble, lube it, clean and lube the pull cable. It should be operational now. Be thankful your hood was not in the closed and "won't open" position. This is just a simple mechanical mechanism, not rocket science. Good luck and tell us how it turned out.
