November 26, 200321 yr Author comment_58481 (and I noticed you even corrected my spelling of 'poseur' too! but my version might suit the locals better!)Thanks for the excellent post, lotsa good stuff there - and I've since found in Frank Honsowitz book "How to Modify your Nissan/Datsun OHC Engine" the Nismo kit (16010-E4620) defaults which are very similar to your post;Main Jet 175Air Jet 250Pilot Jet 55Venturi 37Jet Block -?? (unspecified)Now the carbs I've got are NOT plucked at random from a series of wrecks in a Tokyo car yard :-) but DO differ from the above, and are the factory Mikuni America defaults as per the service manual (It was a kit purportedly for the L24/26/28 and I think it was a Mikuni factory kit - like I say, I've found another Z set with exactly the same jets)Main 150Air Jet 200Pilot Jet 57.5Venturi 34Jet Block OApump jet 40 and your comment re jet block was very interesting, because I have had exactly the same experience with the corresponding Dellorto part, the emulsion tube, where the best solution was NOT the standard one. Now if anyone can help me with the contact details of the supplier of these stegosaurus teeth - I mean Mikuni parts - I 'd be much obliged!ps this if hard stuff to find, might do a c&p to the "tech articles" section!and btw Alan, you win the beer - see ya down here??? November 26, 200321 yr comment_58511 Hi guys, I also own a triple 44 Mikuni but not yet installed. Have more things to do so this is still plan B. As a ‘starter’ I follow all threads regarding Mikuni. I recently bought three rebuild gasket kits….in the US for only $25 per kit. I think, I hope this is/was a good deal!?:cross-eye At http://www.toysport.com/ see product line, you can buy (lots) of parts. Referring to the gasket prices and my good deal (?) you see I saved 50% per kit. :classic: I mailed my eBay seller if he got more parts because the background of his picture is full of Mikuni boxes?? Next step will be a good linkage system and trumpets. How about second hand trumpets (6) for US$135? November 27, 200321 yr comment_58616 What do you do if you are the winner of the auction and seller offers you a shipping price, which is high…very high. You go along because you want to have it. Today the parcel arrived with only US $7, 55 at the box…………….:devious: But that’s my problem; I’ll hope to take care of that. Here’s a picture of the rebuild gasket kit. Made in Japan….US address….packed in US??????:stupid: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/5838-are-all-the-guys-with-mikuni-triples-just-posers/?&page=2#findComment-58616 Share on other sites
