Outside mirror location help

My 1971 Z has a factory replacement door skin that was not punched for the large hole that locates the side mirror.

I have a new stock mirror to install and want to locate it in the correct spot.

Could someone please provide a simple diagram for the large mirror whole location.

HI,

Just measured my Series I:

The metal base is positioned 0.5" vertically below the ss metal window trim, and 27.25" anterior to the rear lip of the door skin horizontally.
