Hey guys, new to the forum just purchased a 260z 2+2 74" and it has a dogleg transmissión 5 speed. I'd like to know if there is anyway of telling where it came from? What car? Year?

I have zero experience on the Z's and I'm just starting the restoration on this one.

Thanks appreciate it! How rare are the dogleg gearboxes on Z cars? I've had older BMW still own some of them and doglegs are as rare as hens teeth.
