Tail light inter changability

Featured Replies

Might be a silly question, but here goes.

Tail lights (whether JDM or export), are they able to be swapped left to right???

Just watching Import Monster for some JDM lights and am curious in case i can pick up a single light setup

Well.....it will with some work. You can easily remove the lenses and put them in your Aus housings. Check out my build thread, I had them apart, pretty easy really.

Does that affect how the lighting setup works then with reverse and the park lights?

My 240k GL manual doesn't seem to say ( that or I couldn't find it) and I can't read electrical diagrams at all -_-

I remembered seeing a thread about someone disassembling theirs and cleaning the lenses...should've guessed it was you adz

The wire looms are completely different for the AUS and JDM versions but it wont matter if you swap the looms. I've seen some cheap sets of lights going on Yahoo Japan though, what are you using as your search string?

Yeah ケンメリ is correct. I see tail light sets go for around $300-$400 at times which isn't too bad. If I see any I'll post them here for you.

just be warey of that seller, im certain he gets people to bump up he's prices for him. seen plenty of items sell only to be relisted the next day.
