Hello all, just after some advice regarding electronic ignition upgrades.

I've seen a good deal on a crane xr3000 unit along with a high performance coil. I'm sure there's a few of you who have installed similar units and i was wondering what's involved and if there's any real difficulty/complications?

Read the instructions. once you install the hardware connect the electrical conections move the little element in the dizzy until the light comes on in the box and you are set. if you have an older one u have to hear the spark. I had mine for almost 20 years when it was called allison. once you set it u will never have to touch it again.

I couldn't find any instructions on the net. Sounds easy enough though. I'll be picking one up sometime this month. Thanks for the reply.

Witch box do you have the one with a light or without? I will look for the intructions if I still have themand I can mail you a copy. call crane theu may e mail you one.

The one i've got my eye on is listed on ebay uk. It says it's got the 'All new led for easy diagnostics'.

I just wanted to be sure that nothing additional was needed and that it was a reasonably headache free upgrade.
