Steam powered DATSUN from the FACTORY ?

I have not looked into this yet but i thought i would share this with you.

Minto steam engine.

Minto signed a contract to produce 100 steam engines for NISSAN

to use in production 1972 datsuns.

Anybody know anything about this.

I was at the Tokyo Auto Show in Nov 71, saw the 72 burgundy 240ZG on display. I took a couple of pics of the ZG, didn't see anything of Minto powered Z. Maybe a different model?

btw the $20 coffee maker in the ad in the first link (Palm Beach Post Aug 1970) is now ~$40..... Can you imagine if gas, food, and cars only doubled in price since then?
