Need direction from the Pros!

Good morning everyone and happy Thanksgiving.

I just bought a 77 280Z and it is in pretty good condition over all. The thing is, I am not a "car" person. I thought I would enjoy getting into it but I am in over my head on the electrical. There are so many great posts on here but they are not working for me. I can't seem to figure out how to start a post either! I was hoping that someone could steer me to a good shop in Oregon that could look over the wiring issues in my car. Any help would be appreciated.

K- Now I am with you!! I will call you tomorrow! Thank you very much. It will be good to have someone look it over, I love the car but I am not a car fella.....yet! Is Wayne the guy in Albany? He seemed nice but I am not looking to spend a fortune. My neighbor said he was too costly as well. Thanks again Bruce,

John

I want to join a club but I don't know if I have the dedication just yet! I really don't know anything about cars:)

Clubs have so many different members that you don't have to worry about that.

Here is what I have noticed in clubs:

1. Core "buddies" who keep it going.

2. Folks you see once then never again

3. Ricers

4. Racers (Track, drag,circle)

5. Hawkers who have parts for sale (most are extremely generous with support and sharing knowledge but you get the occasional profit driven greedy person but hey,... they can get the goods so in the end it is bearable.)

6. Professionals who bring their (usually) free support to help club members (machinists, lawyers, heavy machinery, insurance, enginneers auto-industry (painting, repairs, shop owners, Nissan garage owners,Dyno owners).

7. Crazies

8. Lurkers

9. Average Joes/Josephines

It is beneficial to join a club in a logical opportunistic way to tap into all of the above opportunities but it is more satisfying if you also have something to bring... it is a socialist, communist, symbiotic, parasitic thing with democracy thrown in for the executive stuff :) Can't beat that mix!
