A tragedy, but Darwin at work. Here in Colorado a group of motorcyclists got the legislature to abolish the helmet laws about 10 years ago. When I was a firefighter/EMT it was a fairly common experience to scrape these guys off the pavement and put them in body bags. What a waste. "Don't tread on me..." HAH!

It is statistically better for a cyclist (bicycle kind) to wear a helmet when in a car than on a bicycle to prevent head injury. Numbers are funny things.

Here in Nova Scotia, helmets are legislated both on motor cycle and bicycle riders.... next cars?

I can't understand getting a driving with no seat belt fine when bikes do it all the time.
