Lean and injectors

Hey guys.

This past weekend I did a spark plug replacement on the Z. It wasn't time but I've used a can of seafoam and a few injector cleaners in the past few months to get the car running better. Upon inspection four of the six injectors had white electrodes. For what I remember white means my Z is running lean.

Two questions.

1. Can old (remanned) injectors cause my Z to run lean? My fuel pressure gauge on my fuel line reads 30-40 at all times. My temp sensor has been replaced when I bought the car. When the car is very hot and I go to restart it it seems to run very lean.

2. If the injectors are indeed bad has anyone tired these?

Thanks

Jan

I'm a bit confused, do you mean 4 of the 6 SPARKPLUGS had white electrodes?

If so, that can mean a lean mixture as you say.

See this chart.

The only satisfactory way to check if the injectors are not working to full flow rate is to remove them and have them flow tested.

I f you are going to do that you may as well replace them with the product you linked above:bulb:

Hi Jan,

I once asked around about whether it's better to use ancient, remanufactured, genuine Nissan injectors or new aftermarket. I got a lot of shoulder shrugging (I think). One person whose opinion I trust said to go with the new injectors. I asked which ones, and he said it didn't matter. I got a set of the GP Sorensen injectors and haven't yet got them on the car. These injectors get very mixed reviews. Some love them. Some hate them.

Your remanufactured injectors should have come as a matched set (matched for flow rate). If they didn't, that might be the source of your problem.
