September 6, 201014 yr comment_330091 I guess we would have the same, with assymetrical profile I was however not able to get a lot of data from the overall shape of the cam... September 7, 201014 yr comment_330171 Dave Rebello has completed my N42 head - cam - porting - flat top pistons - 240 rods - compression 10:1 Car is due out of the body shop this week for refreshing of engine bay - going with black from the firewall to the front of the radiator support - 110Red from the radiator support to the end of the car - engine bay taken down to raw metal - excess holes welded. Engine going to be dipped - bored - honed this week - engine block to be 110 Red (same color as car) Header and Heat Shield Jet Hot Coated Engine rebuild and install over the next 10 days..........pictures to follow I worry about your compression ratio with that head Two things that will help though....a better Rod to Stroke ratio using the 240 rods and a 'big' camshaft profile. If you have to use less than stock timing with the fuel of your choice, then you'll know that your compression is too high. Solutions to this are, use more octane, use a bigger cam or rip the head of and open the chambers by unshrouding. Thicker HG's cripple the quench, so I don't advocate that, since the N42 chamber is not exactly what I'd call high quench anyway (unlike the P79 or P90 heads that have been mentioned to you by others here already). Good luck with it though. Cheers. September 7, 201014 yr Author comment_330174 High Octane will be the fix and the correction. Dave Rebello has discussed that with me last week before they shipped the head. Thanks for your input!
