gear oil ?

Featured Replies

i got a r200 diff from the junkyard. seems to be a really tight rear end. great shape.. i cracked the drain plug loose. and the oil that is in it is really really clean. but i noticed, its red. witch led me to believe it was atf. but after smelling it and rubbing my fingers thru it, it is for sure gear oil. has anyone ever seen a redish gear oil?

Not MT90 in a diff, or I hope not. MT90 is a GL4, but diffs need GL5. Probably Redline Synthetic 75-90 Gear Oil. MT90 is for transmissions.
