SEMA and OS Giken

OS Giken is planning on displaying their TC24- B1 engine in their booth at SEMA this year. They have been talking about making a limited run of that engine again for those that might be interested. Think six figures if you want one.

FYI... The TC24-B1 was not just the twin cam head. It including intake and exhaust manifolds, linkage, carbs, pistons, rods, timing chain and tensioner, and more. They also made a four cylinder version called the TC16-MA2.

How much is an LSx swap? I think I'd go for the one that costs 1/10th the price, makes more power, and that I can find parts for at the local parts store. Call me crazy.

I recently helped someone with an LS2 install. It is an AWESOME engine but there were surprises. For instance the heads have steam lines which need to be routed back to the overflow or radiator. Your'e not crazy :)

The thought of an L series in it's finest configuration (to me) has greater appeal... Almost more apeal than the boobs thread! Serious! I have to fight from sprouting wood when I hear the sound of an L-series doing 9K+ rpm.

It's a shame that someone hasn't developed a package for the L-series in this modern day. True, I've read that the costs aren't justified but the sound and modest gains are enough for me.

We are comparing to the L which traps steam near the #5 combustion chamber on high hp applications. BTW looks like the OS Giken head has steam lines (or coolant passages) for all the cylinders. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=125186
