Posted January 25, 200916 yr comment_272004 I was lubing the latch and the hinges on my 240z and, somehow, the latch on the passenger door spun around and the door will not close. The rubber piece is supposed to be facing towards the ground and the silver hump is supposed to be horizontal. Instead, the rubber piece is horizontal and the silver hump is facing upwards. Does anyone know how I can turn it back? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/30594-help-passenger-door-on-my-240z-wont-close/ Share on other sites
January 25, 200916 yr comment_272005 Have you tried pulling pulling the door handle as if you were trying to open the door? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/30594-help-passenger-door-on-my-240z-wont-close/#findComment-272005 Share on other sites
January 25, 200916 yr Author comment_272007 Yeah, but that didn't do anything. I somehow managed to pop it back in place and the door closes fine now. I have no idea what the hell happened and I hope it doesn't happen again. January 25, 200916 yr comment_272017 I don't know what you did but I can tell you that 2 screws are lose and 2 screws are missing. Fix those first then worry about fixing the rest.Dave. January 26, 200916 yr Author comment_272063 The screws were tight; I loosened them to fix it. The other 2 holes are for the dove tails, which are missing.
