I am new to this blog and am hoping for a bit of knowledge.

I am about to buy a 1981 280zx and would like to know how i would go about converting the car to a manual transmission. If you could also let me know what different transmissions would easily fit into the car.

Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

Easiest way to go about it would be to get all the parts off of a another 280zx. You'll need the tranny, drive shaft, clutch pedal assembly, flywheel, pilot bearing, clutch & pressure plate, throwout bearing, clutch master cylinder & lines, slave cylinder, interior trim for the shifter hole....ect.. That should get you started!
