The same materials as the original parts-(re-cast used materials).

similar but better materials when they are available-and clearly better (Plastic vs Bakelite).

New materials anything new is better.

All hard plastic pieces should be powder coated metal.

All hard plastic pieces should be reinforced composite.

All good sized Sheet metal pieces should be composite (FRP/carbon fiber)

All good sized Sheet steel Parts should be aluminum.
