1983 280zx - Radio wiring desperately needed!

Featured Replies

Pulled out a Hitachi radio model no. KMS-3611B. This has an 8-pin connector using all 8 pins, and a 6-pin connector using 5 pins. I'm trying to find out what exactly these thirteen wires are.

I downloaded a previous wiring diagram, but it only shows where 8 of the wires go. If anyone has a complete diagram, it would be extremely helpful!

from a 79, but I don't think the radio wiring changed. Is the unit you mention the original or an aftermarket piece?

The stereo in there now is the original 1983, I'm trying to replace it with an aftermarket CD player

In 83 there were two different stereo systems depending on whether you had a non GL, or a GL model.
