Hello All:

I have been "gifted" a 1975 280Z. At one time some of the more important wires were cut by the engine cooling fan. Could someone please direct me to where this wire should connect?

Don't know if a 75 would be the same but on my 78 that wire plugs in to the w/b wire that comes out of the bottom of the harness between the coil and the strut tower.

If you look on the back of your A/C compressor you should have one (Blue) wire coming out...follow that backwards into the wiring bundle. You should have either a Brown or Black wire that's taped inside that same two wire bundle that connects to the wire you are pointing out...which is for the B.C.D.D. On my 75 280Z it's Brown...In the wiring diagram it shows it as being Black...should be pretty easy to find...

I think you need to take a closer look at it. If it was cut by the cooling fan you should be able to find at what point on the harness it was cut from. Do a search to find where you can download a wiring diagram for a 1975. It's a lot easier for you to solve a mystery like this, having the car right in front of you, instead of playing guessing games.
