Posted September 23, 200618 yr comment_183469 Can you test the level sensors? I got a set of caps through eBay. I just put the test light & battery through the wiring, and I figured tat if one or both floats are UP (caps are upside down on the bench), then the light should go ON, right?thx. September 23, 200618 yr comment_183471 I test them for continuity with the floats down which would indicate low fluid and hence turn on the 'brake' light on the dash. The fluid level will push them up breaking the continuity and turning off the light. September 23, 200618 yr Author comment_183475 Floats down- right. I made a stand to support the caps in the normal attitude. I found that if either float is down, the circuit will close, meaning they are wired in parallel. So I didn't need the stand after all. Both sensors worked, but the caps weren't as shiney as the seller (zfindings) claimed. I will soak them in EvapOrust, then buff, and try out my new Zinc plating wand. BTW, these were off a ZX. He must be parting off a old, rusted JY car. He's got a number of neutral & negative feedback comments. Thanks, Steven.
