The Differential "Fix"?

Featured Replies

Can you tell by this picture if my car had the "fix" done on the diff mount? I am not sure.

Thanks!

No, I don't think it has. The moustache bar and crosslink where the arms attach are both curved towards the rear about an 1-1.5 inch. You could do it if you had those two pieces and a longer driveshaft.

I knew the mounting "fix" required a different arrangement, or newer, moustache bar and mount. I wasn't aware that it required a longer drive shaft. Am assuming you just get one from a newer Z, any particular years?

Thanks!

I think mine came out of a 72? I think a 72 or 73 would work...not sure about the 260 on?

With the shift in the differential backwards, will the existing half shafts work?

Wasn't the purpose of the 'fix' to eliminate a misalingnment problem with the half shafts? If that is the case the existing ones would work.
