Just picked a parts car. Previous owner said it was a Rally engine from a 1970 240z. Does anyone know if I could verify it from the numbers on the engine block?

What is the engine number? Does it have triple Mukuni 44PHH carbs on it? What about the gearbox, is it a dogleg model?

It is unlikely that it would be a works engine though. Maybe just a souped up L24 in there.

It has webber carbs.

I'm not to sure what a DOGLEG is. The rear it came with is a welded type. No slip. possibly for a track.
