I just bought my first "used" '71 240Z after previously owning new '77, '78 and '81 models in California. Too bad I didn't keep any of them! I'm looking for a good mechanic located in Vancouver, WA. The car is 80% restored and I also would like suggestions for interior restoration shops. I just joined as a new member and am already impressed with the talent and content. I'd appreciate any recommendations.

He is busy and don't be surprised at 4-6 week waiting periods. However, once he fixes it, you won't be mucking around with it again for a LONG time. He's also not cheap, but in the long run, he is by far the BEST, which in turn makes him VERY inexpensive. Auto parts stores in Vancouver will refer you to him, and the Nissan dealer has referred Z owners of all years to him.
