I know my timing is alright but does anyone know any reasons a 280 zx turbo could have a really rough idle and be running rich the fuel injectors are pretty new...oh also my engine lopes...a mechanic told me that but i didnt know what it meant. Any ideas would help.

I have had the same problem with both my 76 and 77 Z. I replaced the injectors and this made a major diffrence.

Try adjusting the idle mixture at the AFM. You can try to do it by feel but I use an exhaust analyzer. I check that adjustment on both my EFI cars after a tune up and just before a smog check.
