Posted May 30, 200520 yr comment_125625 I happen to notice a spot on the floor where my Z parks. I jacked up the front and checked her out and it looks like it's seeping out of the reverse lamp switch right next to the fill plug. Has anyone here had this problem??? Does the switch have to be replaced with a new one or is it possible to put some kind of sealant on the threads and reinstall it??? Thanks in advance for your help. May 30, 200520 yr comment_125637 Depends on whether the leak is from the threads, or a defect in the switch casing. It costs little to try some sealant on the threads. May 31, 200520 yr Author comment_125681 yep, hopefully the problem is just the threads. I still have to take a closer look at it. Worse comes to worse I'll just get a new one. No big deal Got any recommendations on sealant tape??? The gear oil would disolve regular Teflon Tape correct??? Thanks again.
